    I'm not sure about that. I've been at RealGM a lot and RealGM is kind of dominated by Toronto fans. And they are just about the biggest homers on the planet. And even a big majority of those Toronto fans were calling for the Derozan/Lowry back court to be broken up. They'd hit the ceiling with that back court and the flaws were always exposed in the playoffs

    trading Derozan and Poeltl wasn't going to bring an all-star haul from anywhere else. Neither really had that kind of value. But trading those two got Kawhi and a championship. Having Derozan for another year and possibly, probably, having another 1st round exit would have Toronto in a bad spot right now and the value of Derozan even lower

    I think they made the right decision no matter which way these playoffs would have ended

    That's easy to say since they won a championship. I agree that mixing it up was likely the best decision. If Kawhi's shot doesn't bounce in against the 76ers and they lose in OT there wouldn't be a single Raptors fan saying "good trade" today.

    It was the ultimate high risk, high reward. Props to them.
