Mahatma Gandhi, as you know, walked barefoot most of the time, which produced an incredible set of callouses on his feet. He also ate very little, which made him rather frail. Plus, with his odd diet, he suffered from bad breath.

This made him a super calloused fragile mystic hexed by halitosis.

There must be something that I don't understand about points/FGA, as the maximum scoring possible is 3 points per shot, i.e., number of points/FGA maximum is 3, right? Thus a player making 5 of 6 swish3s and 5 of 6 FG2s would score 2.5 points/FGA. More than 3 would not be possible.

In any event, BBall-Reference shows that Terry Porter scored 41 points on 18 FGA, which means 2.28 points/FGA, not 2.93. Is there a Blazer Playoff scoring better than 2.5 points/FGA? And Meyers was first in scoring in the 5 categories that I pointed out in the "Blazers leading Playoff scorer" thread, and that means he contributed more efficient scoring than Dame, CJ, Enes, or any other Blazer in the Playoffs, and that is the recognition that I think he deserves.

Nah, there are just more financial opportunities for him as a championship winning former Rocket.

By all accounts and every time I have ever heard him talk about Portland since leaving he sounds like he hated being in Portland. Totally get his affinity for Houston but he seems to almost hate Portland.

Now I see that the points can increase to more than 3 by the added FT, and thus it is not really points/FGA, but rather points/FGA + FT that explain the discrepancy. In any event, the Terry Porter Games Playoff Highs has his high for that season showing 18 FGA, and that is likely an error. These numbers >2.5 are exceptional scoring achievements!

What we have heard from Clyde Drexler is disappointing, but the contrast with Dame does strongly highlight why we enthusiastically celebrate Dame, our leader of the Blazer culture!

in this case what you're not understanding is the value of FT's

a player can go 3/4 on 2 pt FG's scoring 6 points; and go 10/10 on FT's. That would give him 16 points and 4 points/FGA

and it's why eFG% is a pretty meaningless stat compared to TS%. eFG doesn't account for FT's...that's kind of a ueless gauge

The post was on topic. Meyers is the literal reincarnation of Gandhi. Did you not know that?

Who said it, Meyers or Mahatma?

    1. I really have to be in the gym.

I wasn't trying to answer your challenge.
I was pointing out that you don't recognize other players for what they bring to the table.
Which is exactly what you point out towards other posters when they talk about Meyers Leonard.

You think Nards may exceed his 30/12 at least once with the heat.
You think Nards may average 20/10 for the season. But you hedge your bet by saying he needs plays ran for him and enough minutes.
Then you go onto say lets hope that Whiteside will average 30ppg.
Basically you just said that if Whiteside doesn't average 30ppg, you were right in Meyers Leonard being better than Whiteside. All because you think Meyers Leonard could average 20/10 with some 30+/12+ games sprinkled in.

You constantly try to point out how good Meyers Leonard is. Cool I think 90% of the posters on this board agree he's been an NBA role player for the past two years.
But you also constantly put lofty expectations on other players and when they don't meet them you go back to your statements of Meyers Leonard should play more.
Or even if they do. You say Meyers Leonard should play more.

At the end of the day I don't appreciate you trolling the forum.
Almost as bad as when @Orion Bailey made some @Jesus Christ Son of God account and trolled the forum pickup games.
(not taking a shot at you OB, just simply pointing out that @swish3 's shtick is old and he needs to move onto something new.... You know instead of creating a new thread every week because people don't want to read his trolling)
