I've had League Pass- single for the last five years and just got the renewal notice for $120 for the season. I only get cable via Sling during the playoffs. For games on national TV in the regular season, I used to rely on reddit streams. Effectively, this used to work out to ~$200 for the season + playoffs to watch every game.

Trying to find alternatives this year because:
1. We have AT LEAST 31 national tv games that will be blacked out on LP
2. nbastreams (RIP)
3. Getting really tired of the user experience on LP with it lagging behind live action, the constant ads, and the random nights when games get picked to be on NBA TV further blacking me out.

I really don't want to go the VPN route if I can avoid it because I stream on multiple devices. Do I have any other options?

I'll prob delete this post too (so don't quote the spoiler part)

SNOOZE U LOOZE

Both TNT and ESPN have apps that you can watch the national games on. You just need to ask someone who does have cable for their log in, ha ha.

awesome. Still curious about legal options too.

I used to buy league pass every year but for some reason the cable version only had one HD channel (which btw I didn’t even have to pay for)

Since the blazers play on the west coast a lot, they’re on that aforementioned HD channel quite often. When they’re not, I just lean on the power of the internet.

I’ll FaceTime you EVERY game for the right price son.

Have you guys tried this?

https://www.sling.com/channels/nba-tv

Looks like you can get LP-team passs and NBA TV for $18 per month. I'm guessing this would be an add on to the other cable channels making it about 43 per month for Cable and LP.

Not bad at all.

Hulu has live sports
It also sucks. Horrible interface, no league pass integration, no NBA TV, and nearly double the cost of Sling w/ LP.

They have such high profile NBA players as endorsers but don't even have the right products for an NBA consumer. Simply putting ESPN/TNT/regional network on the list does not suffice, especially when we are out of the market.

League pass for me. I almost dropped it a couple of years ago, but then the fam had reasons they wanted to get cable again, so now I can get more than I can possibly watch. Every year I swear I'm going to drop it as I don't have that much time to watch games anyway. But at renewal time there always seems to be some glimmer of hope on the new season that brings me back.

I am here in Southern California and buy League Pass through DirecTv. It costs $180 a year for all NBA games. All of the games I get are in HD. Probably not the best financial decision to pay this every year but I look at it as a form of entertainment. I watch every single Blazers game. If 31 games are on National TV this year that means I am paying about $3.50 a game for the other 51 games. Well worth it to me. I am so bad with the non-TV stuff that I wouldn't even know how Sling works or any of the apps people say are good. Hopefully you can find something that works.

THIS WORKS BEST

reddit nbastream getting axed sure sucks but I have my websites to watch replays (which I enjoy more than watching live anyway)

I usually pay for team pass, like $20 a month, and watch blacked out games on reddit. With reddit no longer an option I may have to try Kodi. My buddy uses it when we watch games at his place and it seems to work just fine.

I currently live in Denver so I've been using hehestreams. Great quality, the price is perfect ($100 for the season and you can watch ALL NBA games not just your team). Nothing is blacked out. The customer service the person provides is outstanding. When hehestreams went down for a day he personally talked to you about alternatives for the day. It's extremely reliable as there has been only one day when the website was down in the past two years of use from me.

I cannot recommend hehestreams enough. If you recruit friends and family to their service through a link you provide you get a credit for the next time you pay. I'm not going to provide that link in this post because that would be tacky though.

Edit: Oh yeah the replays pop up about five minutes after the game ends--really speedy.

...there are still many other subreddits to find legit streams on, plus all the other culprits out there like firstrowsports et al :dunno: @illmatic99 @sleepwalker

Its not like reddit was hosting any of those sites. Buffstreams, Acestreams, etc still exist just google them instead of go to the reddit page.

Why would that be tacky?
