Definitely rooting against Boston so that they’ll trade Brown to us. Likewise with Philly and Milwaukee. Rooting for Knicks (home team), Kings (light the beam), and Hawks (underdog with talent). Also- want Lakers to miss playoffs. Also maybe we get Draymond if Warriors lose.
 
I won't be watching much of these playoffs, but i do hope for a Denver/Knicks matchup in Finals. My buddy is a Nuggets freak, and Denver is finally paying attention to their team, and i love Josh Hart. I will boycott any series featuring the Lakers, Celtics, or Warriors. If those teams never win a title again , it would be too soon. I don't like the Grizzlies either. Their fanbase is fickle & overrated. And i don't care for Jaws or Dillion Crooks at all. Plus the fact the refs let the Grizzlies hack , slap, and grab in the old Grindhouse days turned me off as well. There was a reason they were #1 in defense.
 
I've always liked the Knicks. But they don't have a snowball's chance.
 
As a Blazers fan first and foremost, I am rooting against any team whose quick or unexpected loss might create a bit of team turmoil from which the Blazers could benefit. So I will be rooting against:
  • Boston: Jaylen Brown
  • Miami: Jimmy Butler
  • Toronto: OG/Siakam
  • Brooklyn: Bridges (although I don't think Brooklyn losing quickly in round 1 would change anything for them).
  • Clippers: Paul George
  • Minnesota: Gobert/KAT (not sure I want either, but I think having them on the market would help)!

Root for chaos to give the Blazers a chance at some of these players.
 
Won’t watch much of the east, until their conference finals. Some pretty boring teams….but the west, man every matchup looks great! Rooting for the Clippers to go 7 games. @THE HCP is headed to PHX this weekend to work for them thru the first round. Need some cash for when the summer slows down for me.
 
I voted I don't give a shit... I don't actively root for any teams or players that aren't Blazers, but I root against teams. I don't want to see the Lakers (duh), Clippers (Westbrook) and Golden State (duh, Green) do anything other than get eliminated ASAP.

Otherwise, I guess I'll root for upsets whenever they can happen if/when I watch the NBA.

Is it football season yet?

option one..I'm now excited about the new G league franchise they'll hopefully build in Eugene..

I agree with your reasoning to root against these teams, add Philly for Embiid, the real push all your chips in dream
 
Fuck em all! Most of all the Warriors for dragging us in the media the way they did. That GP2 situation might stick with me for a while, he was injured on their watch and the league should have docked them a second rounder for putting that shit out in the media when it was patently false.

That being said, I'll be watching and hope for really competitive games and epic individual performances from anyone not on the Warriors. I hope the Warriors get blown the fuck out in the first round... like I said, still not over it.
