Well, the fact that the people who know basketball all agree that there was not a win-now trade to be made...But, you're free to have your opinions. Always easy to make stories from the recliner.

I like that. Jrue would be a great player for Scoot, Shaedon, and Anfernee to learn from. He can play the 3 even.

[Begley] Nets are among the teams that have been contacted as a potential third team to acquire Tyler Herro in a Damian Lillard to Miami deal, per SNY sources.

I dont blame Cronin for not trading the 3rd pick for Siakam or OG. I dont believe that Zion or Mikal were ever available for #3 and Ant. Would they have taken #3, Simons and Sharpe? Maybe, maybe not. But that trade would have been a desaster and we wouldn't have been close to a Contender. What was the option? Make a terrible trade just to make Dame happy? Thank god he didn't do that. Cmon Torey, you and Eric are better than that

the mods on Blazers Edge are actively deleting negative comments about Cronin when they show up. It's a happy fun Dame Trade party over there.

Putting pressure on the front office publicly destroyed our ability to make a trade, regardless of who the GM is.

I'm not "believing" JoCro. In fact, he's been mostly silent.

You heard all of the rumors. Which one had Blazers not getting bent over? Why? EVERYONE was hoping for pennies on the dollar.

Didn't you ever think the Heat rumors were a complete joke? Outside of Bam and Jimmy, who they weren't giving up, they literally have nothing the blazers want. So, why all the rumors with Miami? ONLY ONE POSSIBLE REASON - Lillard's agent (on Lillard's behalf) was forcing his way to Miami, and he didn't want Dame to "look bad".

Dude's running from the Grind to form a superteam, and you're falling for it. That's what's Sad.

Is that what good business is? Catering to the cranky, self-important types?

So Dame is a bad guy because he wanted better teammates? Or is he a bad guy because Joe said he'd get him better teammates then didn't and then Dame publicly said that he wanted better win now teammates and not more youth? Or is Dame a bad guy because when Joe did the exact opposite of what Dame asked for he then demanded a trade?

I just don't see how anyone could fault Dame in this situation. He was close to asking out because the team didn't want to win bad enough and then they got Chauncey so he stayed. Then more and more inaction until we were even worse than the teams that made him want out in the first place. There were two drafts and one trade deadline in which Joe literally said we would push all of our chips in to build a team that can immediately win at the highest level and Joe did the opposite.

So should Dame just be content with being the face of the franchise and cashing his checks... is that the kind of guy you respect? You want someone who doesn't care if he's winning or not?

This turning on Dame stuff is complete bullshit! Dame has shown time and time again that he wanted to be here and we all know that this roster has been terribly mismanaged around him since LaMarcus left, so how is Dame the bad guy?

Riley & Dame's agent are convinced Joe will cave and make a deal thats good for Miami. Joe needs to play hardball with all involved.

Problem is, Dame made his whole league persona about loyalty and not running from the grind - and now he's doing just that.

Why do we always have to have a bad guy in these situations? I honestly don't blame either one.
Joes was smart to draft both Sharpe and Scoot. Dame wants to move on. As much as I love Dame, and wanted him to stay, I am ok with us moving on as well

Why does one person have to take the majority of blame for the situation?

In my eyes, Olshey, Cronin, Jody, Paul, and Dame have all done things that have made the situation get to where it is today. How much weight we put on each of them wil differ, but I'm not sure any of them deserve more than 50% on their own.
