The problem with posting up Miller, or when Miller crashes the boards is that when you are playing a team that can run you end up giving up some transition baskets/fouls to save layups. Especially now because our perimeter guys that would need to get back would probably be LA & Roy - who are both gimping around like old men right now.

I could be wrong - but that's why I thought they went away from it.

Was that before or after he was busting his ass to grab rebounds, and make things happen?

Yep he was leading the Blazers in rebounding while in. With no bigs, the guards gotta pick up the slack.

Miller was having a great game... I was suprised to not see him in the 4th. Very.

I think one reason we lost is we started playing the clock... slowing it up... wasting time and getting rushed or forced shots. We were up 104-99? I think when we started the Roy hold the ball at the top stuff... and even before that we were really slowing it down.

You mean where Nate called the "Ice" play like 8 times in a row? Also known as not playing to win, but playing not to lose. It's like playing prevent defense in the NFL. You will get kicked in the gnards within 2 minutes every time.

Yep... I think they need to just keep playing... the clock is a 6th defender that will force you to shoot whether you are open or not. Seems to make more sense to just play... especially when you factor in the team that is behind is going to be more aggressive on defense increasing your odds at drawing a foul. You end up playing against the clock and losing you ability to draw a foul and get easy points by doing that.

I didn't see Miller's body language, but it should have said angrily, "That dumbshit McMillan lost us the game by not playing me."

Miller was on track for over 20 assists and 30 points, the greatest PG game in Blazer history, when he was yanked out of the game in the 3rd quarter. Even in the abbreviated time that McMillan gave him, Miller had an historic game. As I posted,

He always looks like that though. He's similar to Bayless in that his expression rarely changes.

Bayless doesn't play 48, Bayless supporters go crazy, call for Nate's head.

Miller doesn't play 48, Miller supporters go crazy, call for Nate's head.

The team is literally paying for some doctor's boat somewhere but no-no..any loss is squarely on Nate's head.

    Unbelievable.

I'm somewhere in the middle. While absolutely excited to see Bayless get extended minutes of play, I was, at least, very curious as to why Miller saw no time in the 4th quarter....other than the last 10 seconds. This, considering what a great game Andre was already having. I've been a big Nate supporter, but that (non) move made little or no sense to me.

Miller should shut his mouth, along with the rest of you.

This team won 54 games last year ENTIRELY because of Mr Sonic. If he only plays Miller 10 seconds in the 4th quarter then who are any of you non NBA coaches to question him?

Miller is not needed in the 4th because the Blazers call ISO's the entire 4th for Brandon. ISO's are what win championships, according to some, so Miller would just get in the way of our title this year.

Fact is, if we don't win a title this season it's because Miller played any minutes in the 4th quarter.

Thank you for noticing, but I'm spoken for. I'm also not sure I could be involved with someone refuses to admit there is a problem with something.

Not to be too disagreeable, but Aldridge made a HUGE mistake when he didn't box out Z-bo on the FT line. Zach turned a missed FT into a three point play.

Three times in that game it happened. It resulted in four important points and two that put the game out of reach.

I am so sick of this BS reasoning...

54 games last year means jack shit this year...

what worked last year...doesn't guarantee it will work this year...so stop using that as an excuse, that goes for fans & Nate and Roy in particular...

teams adjust...they HAVE adjusted to POR ridiculously simple Roy-centric offense...the NBA is too good for this not to occur...and the Blazers are not sneaking up or being overlooked by anyone anymore...and the only people who apparently cannot see this are a few homer fans, Nate and Roy....

I would have never thought that POR would melt down like the Bulls did, but here we are.....
