ESPN - Trail Blazers reserve PG Mo Williams (groin injury) unlikely to play Saturday in Game 3 vs. Spurs

We have a shot!!! Lmao

Reminds me of when I played intramural ball in college. We won all the games I missed. Every damn one.

works for me, frankly I'd rather see Barton get more minutes and experience

He's been playing with a bad groin since late in the Houston series. Clearly he isn't healthy, and now it's up to Barton and/or CJ to prove their worth.

Bummer. I wanted him pulled because he wasn't playing well, not because he was injured.

Get well soon, Mo.

Not super confident with what I've seen out of CJ so far. I'd go with The People's Champ to backup the point. If it starts getting horrible, get Watson in there.

mo wants to play but the team is deciding to hold him out..hm sounds like a good excuse to take him out of the lineup. we win tomorrow

Mo gave it a shot but he's been injured this whole series. Barton will get his minutes. CJ can't guard anybody.

Were celebrating this?

The bench had depth and production issues with Mo. Now what do we have?

This is true. Our already crappy bench is even crappier with our best crappy bench player benched.

Mo had been playing better the latter part of the season. He has reportedly been playing with a pulled groin. So Mo's already inadequate play has been even worse in the playoffs. With a groin injury, his already poor defense became non existent. Amazing how fans don't give any slack to players performances when they are playing hurt (see LaMarcus and Batum).

It remains to be seen whether Stotts will start off giving Mo's minutes to Watson or Barton. This is Barton's big chance. Will Will play as free and easy as he has the last two games? We better freaking hope so.

He wasn't really helping, but he does at least have playoff experience; just makes a thin team even thinner, but what the hell, it gives Barton and McCollum a chance to step up.

Also it's going to force playing our starters more. Our only true advantage against the spurs.

Even though the Croatian season is over, Olshey will have to move fast to grab Nolan Smith.

Without Mo there's no way we'd still be playing, and the talent and leadership gap between Mo and our 7th best player is vast.

I agree. He's been the only consistent scorer off of the bench all year. Watson will probably get the minutes, with Barton going in when the match-up is right.

Stotts dislikes Watson because their names almost rhyme. My favorite player this season will not get Mo's minutes.

One thing's for certain, if the Blazers don't do well, there will be a heaping helping of: "Don't you hatrs wish you had Mo now? Don'tcha, huh, don'tcha, huh, huh, huh, don'tcha?" Only not as nicely. ;)

The second that Pop starts using some Reno Bighorn defensive schemes we should insert Crabbe.

The Spurs haven't been able to stop Barton.

So this may be seen as a positive.
