somebody found a strange quirk in Lillards jump shot

He only quirk I know of his shot is that it goes in when the clock is at .9 or less

That is interesting, but I wonder if he is the only one who shoots that way.

You know who had one of the quirkiest Js around, that Ferengi lookin' Reggie Miller!

I wouldn't be surprised if that "quirk" allows him to shoot from further out more comfortably.

it probably does help him shoot further with ease, but might also explain why his shot is flatter with not so much of that rainbow arc on it. i should go to the gym and check it out to see if it affects anything, although, i haven't shot a ball in like 2 years so i don't have much to compare it to recently.

That is really interesting. Repped.

To me, it looks like he uses his hand to increase the spin on the shot, rolling it from the top of his palm to his fingertips.

Initially this made sense to me, but as I consider it longer, I disagree. For your argument to work, his hand would have to get longer as he straightens it. I think it's the same length, but what you are seeing is him slightly batting the ball. He might actually get more rotation from this batting. But I think your premise is right, he's getting more rotation off of it.

I saw this a few days back and tried it out when I was shooting around. WTF it's such an awkward motion.

He prolly shouldn't fix it because it's working as is.

If only I had that quirk. Id have a deal with adidas and not working a shit security gig. If coach hadn't cut me freshman year, we'd a won state. I would have gone pro.

I have no idea what ferengi means so that means you're pretty nerdy as well.

It means HCP watched Star Trek: Deep space 9

A shot is a bit like a golf swing. It can be all messed up prior to "impact," but so long as the ball is being released off the fingertips (or club face squared on the ball in golf), that's all that really matters. I'm wondering if this isn't somewhat common, because at some point the ball needs to go from the hand to the fingers.

I think most people shoot basketball like jai alai

Curl their hand, and it rolls the whole way to get the "maximum" rotation.

I think it was Chandler Parsons who found the strange quirk in Lillard's jump shot

I always thought Sam Cassel out - ferengied Reggie.

As long as it goes in like it does I'm even fine if he shoots it from his asshole

It could be worse, like the Shawn Marion chest heave with no spin
