I went back and looked at his You Tube highlights. He really does have some incredible dunks.
I think we may be selling him short. At the very least he will be fun to watch. Here are 49 dunks from 2013-14.
Most were a little boring because they were so easy. But it sure would be nice to see some "easy" baskets for a change:

First off, it looks like he goes up with two hands almost every time and is a quick leaper. That's going to be a contrast from Wes.

Second, Josh McRoberts is a pretty good passer based on those highlights.

I'm glad the Blazers got him I always thought he'd look good playing in a Blazers uniform!

I remember just two years ago there were posters who thought he was better than Wes.

I took two things away from that video
1. Does Henderson have small hands? He goes up with two hands almost every time. Not a criticism, just an observation
2. McBob is a really good passer

the first thing I see is this innate ability to sort of "sneak" behind the D, then get a nice dunk and the other team all looks at one another like "how the hell did he do that?"
I enjoy this quality.

I'm liking the movement off the ball too - something the blazers have sorely lacked the last few years is a guy on the wing who knows how to dive to the rim. Hendo appears to have that knack and timing (understanding that these are highlights)

My goodness the guy has lift.

I like that he is careful in how he lands.

I was going to comment on the delightful passing on most of those dunks, and, wow, McRoberts was responsible for most of them, but everyone else beat me to it. I hope to god we see that kind of cutting and passing this season.

the 2015 highlights are probably the best IMO.

Dunks are all great. Great movement off the ball.

Need a 3pt shot though.

Gerald has talent; however, he was at a disadvantage playing with the rosters MJ put together.

Gerald’s game needs shooters around him to spread the floor. He did not have any shooters in Charlotte. Hopefully, with Dame making threes, he should have more room to work, and his game should show improvement.

its there, just not done very much (read well)

also looks to have a little bit of that clutch shot ability in his bag

Yeah I think it's there as well. I was looking at his box scores from last year. I saw a lot of 1-1 or 0-2's
for him. I think he does it well enough to keep the D honest. 3 pt shooting is always nice, but we desperately needed another player besides Dame and CJ who will attack the rim. We did not get that from Wes or Nic.
This 30 pt game shows his whole repertoire

Word. Olshey and his team know what's up. People think we could have gotten more for Nico but considering he's only got one year left on contract I think we did well.

Interesting concept... Maybe Hendo will have a breakout year?

I'm warming up to Henderson starting and using CJ as our super sub, based on Hendo's length, slashing, and my assumption that he's a better defender.

CJ will eat up second string lineups next year.

I admit I had no idea who this guy is but after watching those highlights I pitched a tent.

supposed to be a very good corner 3 shooter and heard stotts mention they were aware and would take advantage of this in the flow offense

I'm a bit worried he'll be a bit like Sergio: we'll love him for what he can do, but will be driven crazy because of the things (that we perceive) that he can't do (of course not to the level of Sergio).

I agree that he looks exciting, seems to have a bit if "Crash" in him. His glaring weakness though is his shooting percentages. They're below average for a SG.

Honestly, I think he starts for the Blazers at the 2. I think that's why he was acquired. I've been second-guessing myself because so many fans here seemed to think he was an afterthought, but I think CJ is better served coming in as a spark off the bench and Henderson is far superior to Crabbe right now.

What I like most about Henderson is his consistency. You pretty much know what you're going to get numbers wise every night. I love Wes dearly and you knew he was going to give 100% effort whenever he was on the floor, but he just seemed to get more streaky as time when on. One night he'd hit everything he threw at the basket, then the next couple of games he couldn't hit the ocean while standing in the surf. I think at the very worst, Henderson for Mathews is a wash. And I'm betting we're better at that position with Henderson, hard as that might be to swallow.

The guy shot almost 46% from 2 pt range. That's not too bad. That's the same as Demarcus Cousins who stands under the basket. Also better than Russell Westbrook, Bradly Beal, Terrence Ross and Demar DeRozan.

Yeah you get a bigger reward with Wes when he is on. But Henderson attacks the basket and I think will be better at creating his own shot. Not to mention FINISH on the fast break.
