And the game is in Washington, not Portland. It'll be full a political reminders. Of course, under Adam Silver every single NBA game has some anonymous veteran announced to the crowd during a timeout. Every other game is a Military Appreciation night. So we're used to the politicization of the NBA by now.

I don't know what it is, but I swear this is the 4th time or so that we've been here on MLK day....... Overtime I'm here I put together pieces on MLK's speech. Love this town.

Any thoughts about Quick's tweets after the game last night?

Ya it always seems to be DC or ATL on MLK. Wonder why.

I'm taking a half day coincidentally, so I can actually catch the matinee this year. Not everyone has MLK day off unfortunately.

The Blazers need to win this first game if they hope to build any momentum on this road trip. If they lose, the Charlotte game which was probably close to a 'pick-em' to begin with, becomes that much tougher. They should beat Philly but the toughest game on this trip is at the end on the 2nd of a back-to-back. They need to win this first one or a 1-3 trip could become a reality in a hurry.

Ed Davis rolled his left ankle in practice yesterday and is listed as questionable for today's game.

Cj and Dame are disgusting on the defensive end. Especially Lillard is a clown!
