So, should I renew? Would you?

I believe Quarterman and Turner were Not upgrades. Henderson was better than Napier.

Yes, but my point was quantity not quality. In 20 months, the quantity of our current players, by source:

3 free agent changes
2 players by trade
1 draft pick

For most other teams, over almost 2 seasons, you could multiply each of those quantities by 3.

I'd like to see 3 lists of NBA teams, sorted for the last 20 months, of quantity (not quality) of players now on each team who that team obtained by

free agency
trade
draft

I bet we would rank near the bottom on all 3 lists. Remember the story of Rip van Winkle, who napped for 20 years? Olshey has done the same for 20 months.

I renewed as soon as I got my invoice. All of my seats have positive resell value. I sell the ones I cannot use and my profit goes back into the seats I use. Still use MGB's for most of my games but will also use the upgrade system for ones I want closer views.

I think getting the poison pill removed from CJ's deal and time for our new bruiser at center is going to make a huge difference. It has been a frustrating process but think we are trending in the right direction.

I talked with alot of season ticket holders during the Jailblazer era. Many regretted jumping ship since they missed going to the game. Others said they kept their tickets because they liked watching former Blazers come back home.

If you decide that you are not getting the entertainment you want for the price, consider downgrading so that you maintain your discount. You cannot get it back once it is gone and there are plenty of seats that have positive resell value.

I'm a half-season ticket holder (2 seats) for about a decade. Renewal time is upon us. This is the first time that I have seriously thought about not renewing.

I don't find this team very interesting or very fun to watch at this point. And I don't see where it's going. The perennial 8th seed and out - blah. I don't want to be short-sighted, and clearly Neil will have to make a big trade, but . . . would you put your hard-earned money on this team? It's different than liking them, or not, or posting on a forum. This is what it is for the next few years, isn't it?

I just don't know.

The addition of Nurkic is mighty tempting. But it's your money. Life is short. Have fun doing whatever you can, partner!

Is there such a thing "perennial 8th seed"? That hardly exists in this league. Last year, the Rockets were 8 seed. This year, they are killing it as the 3 seed. I can't think of a time when there was a team that was 8 seed every year.

It depends on where your seats are. But in general I would say no.

The Rockets have absolutely zero post presence and they are blowing teams out at 43-19. That's gotta tell you something about the NBA.

How much are season tickets?

I wish I hadn't already paid for the rest of this season as I'd certainly skip it - but I know I'd miss being there when November rolls around.

My family has been season ticket holders since 1975. I was raised on the Blazers. I currently split the tickets 3 ways with my brother and brother in-law. I go to about 20-25 games a year.

My son is now growing up as a Blazer fan. He's 15. He even asked me this year who gets the tickets when I die. I'm only 48! Damn I love that kid. :)

I know a lot of this forum likes the idea of a lottery pick. But I must say, it sure feels good to win games like the one tonight against OKC. Dame and CJ are a joy to watch. Harkless is only 23 and showing tremendous promise. Nurkic is 22 and looking like our center-of-the-future. We've got 3 draft choices in a deep draft. The Blazers may not be achieving their expectations coming into the year, but I still enjoy watching them play.

I'll be renewing my season tickets.

I am a full season ticket holder and I am renewing. I am a bit concerned about renewing at a set price when the value can continue to go down and we aren't talking just a few hundred dollars you know? Ive watched the tickets I purchased for this season plummet and are now worth aprox half of what I paid. Blazers want to lock me in at the same price and I don't know if I care for that much. With them not providing an opportunity to renegotiate the price based on current value, i was not so sure.
Then we made the trade that saved the day.

How ae you getting positive resale? OKC is a good game and I had them for sale for $50 each and they didn't sell. Lowered them to $30 each and they didn't sell.

I sold a game last month for $18 each at the last minute as I had to keep dropping the price. And I have really good 300 level seats.

I can afford it, and live close enough that I could walk to Moda if I really needed to.

But I won't buy even a single game ticket, much less a season. The experience is just so much better in my living room.

But, you aren't me and your mileage may vary.

I prefer the best of both world.s My living room does not come close to providing the energy level the moda center can create. Plus there is just something to be said about paying for extremely overpriced bar food and having it somehow and magically taste like a five star meal.
I always DVR the games and then watch them or some of them when I come home to catch the other angles and replays you don't get live.

I have a pretty cool viewing set up and love to hang with a bong and a blanket and some wheat thins and watch the game, but it still wont compare to the Moda.

The next time you're pondering whether you should take a short jaunt to see our favorite team, live in person, remember theres a guy in Wyoming who has to drive 300+ miles to Pepsi Center to watch them play the fucking Nuggets.

Im only giving you a hard time, to each his own. But if i could walk my happy ass to see them live....damn.

I got $15 each from my cheap seats and $35 each on my 301 purples selling the 27th and 28th. How late did you lower? OKC was also a level D exchange so starting lower would probably have worked better.

You should have exchanged your seats for ExpApp credit. You always get full value on your seats.

Are you only a fan when the team is good? If the answer is yes, then don't renew.

If I still lived in Portland I'd be a season ticket holder for sure....win or lose...losing hasn't stopped me for decades but I have to say signing Nurkic moved my needle this season....I came close to giving up on the team when Nate got fired...worst season I've watched.

I have renewed every season since the mid-eighties so I currently get the 20% maximum loyalty discount for seats far cheaper than the NBA average ($96.57) and way better than NBA average seats. It's just too good a deal to not renew, plus I can almost always sell a game on the resale board for a profit if I can't go . . .

You live that close and won't come to any of the skybox games or Meet and Greets?!?

Sad.
