Two weeks is Thursday. Stotts was on the radio this AM and said he'd be reevaluated at two weeks. He clarified that he's being evaluated this entire time off and they're watching how he follows the protocol the training staff set in place, but they would not run more x-rays until a full two weeks which would be Thursday. So I suspect we'll know something later Thursday or Friday. My thought: Or maybe they'll hold back some info to throw GS off.

Hopefully they installed cameras in every room of his house to make sure he doesn't break protocol.

I bet he has a dart board with Malones face on it in his God cave (the Nurkic version of man cave).

Realistically I'm sure he's doing everything he can to get healthy

Can you merge the other thread with this one?

If you follow the blazers on Snapchat there's one of nurkic warming up before tonight's game.

I'm hoping they installed extra handles everywhere in every shower he might employ.

I hope they don't disclose his status, or try to keep it as low key as possible. We are a completely different team with Nurkic, fuck letting the Warriors know anything, let em gameplan for two teams.

Steve Kerr even said that it's tough to prepare without knowing because of how different we are when Nurk is out there. Said "They'll still run a lot of screens and flairs" but with Nurk out there everything is different cause they have to account for us running our offense through him.

Last night I was thinking to myself that this is the plan the whole time. We played so damn well with him, I mean Portland is a completely different team with him, enough to basically clinch the 8th spot before he went out, so then they bench him to try to throw off the Warriors. I'm also a conspiracy theorist so.......

Well, if that's really the case they should have him hobbling around on crutches instead of doing pregame workouts in plain sight.

Nobody has even mentioned that the ESPN analyst mentioned in the first few moments of the game that he talked to Stotts about Nurkic and left with the impression that Stotts wasn't optimistic about Nurkic's return.

I want to believe he'll return, but part of me feels like the team is keeping Nurk going as half-ploy, half-WTF-happens-we-magically-upset-GSW? I don't know what to believe. But I've seen my teams too many times parade players around like they might play and then don't. I'm scarred for life.

Game 1 is 2 and a half weeks after his injury.

Game 3 is over 3 weeks after.

I think it's the typical coach not wanting to play an injured player at all, and the injured player wanting to play.

Game 1 is 2 and a half weeks after his injury.

Game 3 is over 3 weeks after.

Here's what I think is going to happen...

I think Stotts is going to rest Nurk for the first two games, and we'll lose both of them.

Then I think Nurk comes back for game 3, but he'll be rusty, and won't make as significant of an impact as we hope. We'll lose that game, but not by much.

Game 4 rolls around, and Dame will have a break-out performance, with much help from Nurk. We'll win.

Game 5 is anyone's guess.

But...if it goes to game 6, Curry will go absolutely ape shit, and we'll lose and be knocked out.

The problems will then come from the fan base whining about "what if Stotts played Nurk for those first two games?" And we'll be left to always wonder "what if".

That's my prediction. Obviously, I hope I'm wrong, and we somehow win in 6 or 7 games.

I'd say I agree totally.

He has being doing pool work for cardio and what is sometimes referred to as weightless training trying to keep his cardio up. It's not the same as game action but will help at least a little if he is able to play.
