Melo has led his NBA teams no where. You tell me Denver, and I tell you Chauncey Billups led that team.

No problem at all. Timbers play today. If I don't want to be disappointed by the NBA all I have to is change channels. :smiley-boxing:
 
Since I never felt they were going to get him, I'm fine. Pissed that OKC got him, but I don't think it'll work out as well as they hoped.

I kind of enjoy that Houston got hosed.

I would've liked to see Portland improve their team, but it's still unknown if the teams in their division improved significantly or not.

A full year of Nurk (hopefully) could be a bigger improvement than anything the team could've done (including Anthony).

OKC is the only team in the division, imho, that improved outright...but they have no bench now.

Still a fan of the team and no trade or non trade will change that.

I don't have high hopes for the season, but than again I don't know shit.

Well like I said last week, I was not sure Melo would have helped us but yes I wanted to see it happen from an entertainment standpoint. As long as we did not give up too much.
But I am hardly bummed about it.

Thats going to be an interesting training camp. There are going to have to be practices where all they do is have Westbrook and Melo practice passing the ball to each other and their teamates

I don't think we are going to see any more moves before the season.
 
I got my new Blazers hat for this season a few days ago and will be debuting it in public tomorrow For Media Day.

I'm good.

Everybody I know hates Carmelo and that shit-eatin' grin of his, and I'm right there with them. Our boys are gonna have to work a little harder to achieve the same output is all . . . Plus as everybody here has noted, the muffer don't defend worth shit, either.

We may not use the TPE before the start of the season, but it doesn't expire until 7/25/2018. We will have several other opportunities to use it:

12/15/2017 - buyer's remorse day for teams that signed free agents this summer
1/15/2018 - buyer's remorse day for teams that re-signed their own players
2/8/2018 - trade deadline
6/2?/2018 - NBA draft
7/1?/2018 - end or moratrium on signing free agents

We probably won't use it on one if the buyer's remorse dates. No sense taking on someone else's mistake, but someone worthwhile may become available at the trade deadline, or leading up to draft night.

We won’t use it because it will most likely result in a luxury tax bill.
