What do you think should be legal regarding firearm ownership?

  • No limitations on purchasing firearms

  • All firearms allowed except military-only weapons (automatic weapons, explosives, etc)

  • Military-only weapons and large magazines (say, greater than 12) prohibited

  • Automatic weapons and all semi-automatic rifles (eg, AR-15) prohibited (semi-auto handguns OK)

  • All automatic and semi-automatic firearms prohibited

  • Auto, semi-auto, and handguns prohibited (only manually rechambered rifles/shotguns allowed)

  • All firearms outlawed except for military, police, and authorized armed security only

  • Firearms for military only

Knowing how to handle a gun doesn't make me feel protected from the government if they decided to use the military to take over.
Literally if the government decided they were going to put the populace on lock down via force. No amount of armaments a citizen could own, would protect them against any of the options the military has. Frankly anyone using that argument is either complete delusional, or they're living in the 20's. Thinking that the military would go door to door if you were proving to be a 'problem'.

So back to the question.
What amount of armaments does a conservative need to feel protected in their day to day life?
(I haven't paid close enough attention to figure out if you're a conservative, liberal, or anything else. Just putting that word out there because you used liberal.)

I'm sure you'll be displeased with this edit, but I saw it as too far. You're welcome to comment on posts/actions, and say the posts/actions give an appearance or impression. But when you flat-out say "You are a _____", I think that's out of bounds.
