Damian Lillard may be in the Los Angeles Lakers’ dreams of adding another All-Star, according to Chris Sheridan of Get More Sports. Fresh off wooing superstar LeBron James, Lakers executives have pondered adding at least one more elite player:

A number of trade options are being considered by Lakers executives Magic Johnson and Rob Pelinka, and names that are being bandied about include Damian Lillard, Kevin Love, DeMar DeRozan, Bradley Beal, and John Wall … among others.
Sheridan is a former ESPN writer and has written prescient insight into James before. There were no further details about possible offers suggested by Lakers management, and it’s not clear how serious they are about approaching any of the teams involved.

Lillard is signed with the Portland Trail Blazersthrough 2021, making $27.9 million in 2018-19.

I already answered this in 2 other threads.

That dickhead writes this like the only thing keeping Lillard from being a Laker is Magic deciding whether or not they want him. It goes to show just how badly the deck is stacked against small markets. I'm sure Stern is proud of Silver for keeping the ball rolling.

The absolute best offer they could make would be Ball, Irving, Kuzma and honestly..... that doesn't really sound that appealing.

Ball
CJ
Irving
Kuzma
Nurk

Not convinced that would be a contender in a few years.

This makes me think they can't get Kawhi.
They can, they would just have to get rid of their youth and assets. The new report is kawhi doesn’t want to play with Lebron or on a super team, would rather go to the clippers or if the sixers made a deal, he would stay there. As of now the report is as a free agent next summer, he doesn’t wanna sign with the lakers. I guess the lakers also could of had boogie for the same deal the warriors got but they passed.

Fucking media with their stupid fucking click bait. If anyone actually took the time to read the article it says that they have no chance to get Lillard so mentioning his name is fucking dumb and pointless. Fuck the writers of the article and anyone who promotes this like it's actual news.

Irving? Three way deal with Boston? Or do you mean Ingram? Ball, Ingram, Kuzma...I think I at least listen. Doesn't seem quite enough, but another first round exit with little to no real progress might push Lillard to demand a trade. That package may seem great to what we ultimately get for him if Dame publicly pushes for a trade. Teams that trade stars rarely get equal value anyway. Of course, for now we're not pressed to do anything and I'm sure that offer would be available in February, unless Ball blows up.

I always get that dude's name wrong. Shows how much I watch or care about the Lakers.

Sixers would be a super team if they had Kawhi. As currently constructed, the Lakers aren't a super team.

As for Dame, of course they want him. He destroys them on the court every season. If LeBron wanted to play with Dame, he should've come to Portland.

He destroyed them since they became garbage, he has never had to face a pretty stacked Lakers team, even his rookie year the Lakers were a mess with Dwight...

These ESPN LA Media whores are going to drive me to drink. I quit in '86. My heart dropped a mile this morning reading their shit. Man!

Ha! Ingram is not on the table

You START the package with Ingram.

Btw, I don't believe this source. He'd be the first ESPN employee to not have his account certified if that were the case.

Be realistic man, you are selfish if you want Dame to flounder on a .500 team in Portland during his prime years when he has a once in a lifetime chance to win championships with LeBron... if you really care for Dame you would want the best for him... Neil wouldn’t trade him without his approval anyways... and if that deal happened it would be a pretty good haul of young players for the Blazers from LA, setting up a nice future with a core of Zach, Simons, Ball, Kuzma or Ingram and multiple 1st

Selfish is always being a bitching buzzkill to fans of their team. Take that! for what it's worth.

And if ZACH turns out to be that good, which I certainly hope happens, the fact it will be next to a, STILL YOUNG,Damian Lillard is an awesome recipe for Blazer success. That is what Blazer fans want. The Lakers can burn in hell. If NOT helping the Lakers is selfish. Then so be it.

I care first and foremost about the laundry/name on the front.

I don't care if Damian wins a title wearing an NBA uniform that doesn't say the word "Portland" or "Blazers" on it.

It's sad. I'm so dejected about this off-season that I actually went to the trade machine on this. Lillard + Myle/Swan/Jake/PapaG for Deng/Ball/Ingram/Kuz/Hart works and saves us almost $9m this year.

And crushes my soul, but does that really matter anymore? :goth:

Yes it matters. Got to keep fighting, never surrender. EAT THE RICH!
