I have no idea what is going on there. I just wanna know if Rodman is down there. Ignorance really is bliss. I've really been turning the old brain off on demand and it has been great. Just watched Machete Kills and loved it. I know I would have hated it a few years ago. This Venezuela stuff is not on my personal CIN list.

Lol what vague bullshit. Yeah, I see msnbc advocating for state control of the means of production all the time! Just the other day, Rachael Maddow said the next time America abandons capital-based valuation of products, it'll totally work!

What did I say that was incorrect? Socialist regimes often times start out with democratic elections or popular overthrow and over time turn into police states with lower standards of living.

What? You're the one implying "those on the left" rally for socialism. All I said is that is was vague bullshit. Back it up. Are you taking about actual socialism or "Obama is a socialist" socialism, or dictator run socialism in name only socialism like Venezuela?

Remind me again why we have a dog in this fight? Does anybody outside of the beltway believe the people of Venezula would welcome foreign invasion?

I don't know a single Dem who supports NATO intervention to remove Trump. I don't know any traditional Repubs who support Russian intervention to protect him. (the Trumptramps who do support Russian interference can go fuck themselves) Why do we seek to force on others what we would never stand for ourselves?

Because Venezuela is one of the most oil rich countries in the world and has refused to sell to the USA for years. The establishment will not let that go on in perpetuity. They see an opening right now. That is pretty much it.

The Venezuelan economy was stable until American sanctions, which are the sole cause of its problems.
