Now is the time to root for the Lakers for 5 minutes!

No... they wanted to be on the opposite side of the bracket from what they assume will be the 7th seeded Lakers. Hope it blows up in their face and the Warriors win

How funny would it be if the Lakers somehow fell out of the playoffs? Man, heads would roll.

Evan Wasch, the NBA executive who came up with the play-in gonna be looking over their shoulder if that happens.

They may have but I think that intentional loss was more about avoiding the Lakers in the second round than avoiding us in the first. I know the players are taking it a game at a time but you have to hope that your coach is playing the long game. The fact is they were taken out in the second round last season and I doubt Ty Lou wants to have the same conversation with Ballmer he did last season. It's a lot easier to keep your job saying that you made it further than it is showing the same disappointing results year over year.

yeah...I'd imagine if LAC could choose an opponent, they might very well have picked Dallas over Portland. The Mavs have lots of players with no playoff experience and they have good defensive wings to throw at Doncic

    Clippers aren't scared of Portland

I agree completely... I'm sure as good as Luka is, not having to play Dame was a nice perk. I just think the main goal was to have the easiest path to the WCF and a better shot at job security for the coaching staff.

As hilarious as it would be, I do not see this Lakers team losing to the Grizz or Spurs should they lose to GSW on Wed.

Lue wasn't the Clippers coach last season.

Any word on whether Cuban and Luka are still upset with the play-in tournament?

I'll take the Pacers and Washington in the East and LA and Memphis in the West for the first play in games. Boston and Golden State both secure the final spots on Thursday and Friday. The only seeding that changes would be Washington and Boston.
