Olshey just said that they have around 20-25 candidates that will be reduced to a more manageable number before they start formal interviews in the coming week or so.
Chad Doing on 620 said there might be legs to this Spoelstra thing. It's a longshot but not an impossibility. Said to keep an eye on their ownership and Riley's tenure there for a shakeup.
I am not going to lie Spoelstra is kind of my dream hire but not likely cause i do not see him leaving Miami unless there is a shakeup. Truth is all the rumored candidates have warts cause if they did not guess what they would be a HC more then likely that is why IF i am the Blazers or a Fan you hope for a shakeup in Miami and swoop in for the steal.
Yeah, if Spo said in his interview that he wanted more control over the roster and Masai Ujiri was available, maybe Jody just goes with Spo as coach/GM and Ujiri as president of basketball operations. I would fucking love that.
I’d fire Neil’s ass in a millisecond and offer Spoelstra the coach and GM position if that’s what it took. Wish Paul Allen was alive.
Neil could actually finesse that request. He could remain president of basketball operations and offer Spo head coach and VP of player personnel.
If you think you have can improve the Blazers defense, you better be able to prove it (yahoo.com) Straight from Neil Olshey.
You know what's funny, that fat motherfucker Jokic now all of sudden shot 10/23 against Phoenix, need to see who was guarding him. Our defense was just horrendous
Its a good thing we kept stotts and didn't go after thibideau, a top defensive ciach who just won coach of the year.
Yeah more than one ex blazer assistant has gone on to become a better hc than any we've had since adleman.
