Been following this story tonight and it has really warmed my heart. The way Enes loves and appreciates this country is honestly refreshing.

Congrats to Enes.....it's a great feeling! My wife became a citizen in Eugene Courthouse about 20 years ago and has a portrait taken that day in front of the Declaration of Independence. Tucker Carlson can go crawl in a hole and stay there.

The Colbert Report was shtick, but none of his audience believed what he was saying was his actual opinion.

The PONR for me (regarding Maddow) was when she spent all that time of her show pimping the tax thing and it turned out to be a huge pile of shit.

So if you are American, it's a terrible idea to point out the bad things about America. It's very ungrateful and unpatriotic.

Because real Americans don't complain. You know--MLK, Abraham Lincoln, George Washington, etc. The through line in all of their narratives is that they never said anything bad about the country they lived in. Nope. They just felt lucky for what they had. That's how we remember them.

Freedom means shutting the fuck up. Because the only other option is to live in a place like Turkey or China.
