Since game 2 we have been outplayed in this series. We are fortunate to be getting a game 7 after trailing 2-0 each of the past two games - some may say we don't really deserve the opportunity. With that said, we do have a game 7 in our building.
Here is what I think I know. Being home in a very loud building should be an edge for us. Playing against a goalie that has not played since April 14 should be an edge for us with a Vezina winning goalie in our net. They are going to be missing Dumoulin and Boyle, that should be an edge for us. The Rangers need to play better than they have outside of 1 or 2 periods since game 2 or they will lose this game. We cannot fall behind by 2 again and expect to come back in game 7.
I'll stand by what I wrote yesterday, I have no feel for this game tonight. I can see us coming out fired up getting inspiration from the crowd and playing well. Igor should be in a better place after winning in Pitt. I can also see us being flat again and getting outplayed as we have been for the most part since game 2.
I truly do not know. Putting a gun to my head I'd lean Pens with Crosby back because they have been the better team since game 2, but I would stay away from betting this game as I just don't have a good feel as mentioned.
