All three came out of this draft with excellent return I think. I thought Atlanta were going to end up without a center but Bruno Fernando is a good pick for them this low. I think NO will be very happy with Hayes and especially Alexander-Walker. Clarke is hell of a get for Memphis with that pick. I thought he was going to go much earlier. Him and Jackson Jr will be sick.
Neil said they tried a bit to get into the 2nd round but the prices team were asking for were crazy. Like 4 future second or a protected first.
I wonder who was giving advice to Oregon Duck players. I think all three would have been much smarter to play another year. Bol Bol to show he could be healthy, Wooten to develop a shot and King just to improve all his skills. And the Ducks sure could have used them.
Not trying to start an argument with any Bazley fans; just wanted to post an alternate view: "He dodged all competition possible by vacating his commitment to Syracuse in favor of the G League, abandoning his plan to compete in the G League in favor of a nebulous internship with the apparel company, then went to the combine and tested well. So he got picked. Those who watched him play a lot in high school weren't always wild about how he competed at that level. He averaged only 15.4 points against middling competition as a senior at Princeton High in suburban Cincinnati. In its final rankings of the class of 2018, 247 Sports ranked him only 23rd. One of its analysts, Brian Snow, tweeted on the eve of the draft a prescient statement: "The value that the NBA places on the unknown is something I will never understand. But dear god, they love what they don't know."https://www.sportingnews.com/us/nba...wild-night-of-picks/4lku6nsxtn1h1o7h1mxcyj3tl
I started a blog about basketball this week, it’s still under construction but if anyone could give a click, it would be nice I just made a post this morning about 5 headlines from the draft, and of course expand on them 1. Star power 2. Trades and Offseason Intrigue 3. Three teams adding three first round picks (small break down of each team/player) 4.Bol Bols night 5. one loser- The Suns Just a click would be cool even if you don’t read it. OnlyBaloncesto.com Thanks bruhs
That's all fair. However, no one ever said he was a sure thing. If he doesn't end up having work ethic and motor issues like that implies then he has all the skills to be an absolute star in this league. I do agree that had he gone to Syracuse it could've hurt his perception, i.e. Nassir Little. That doesn't mean he can't still be good though.
