It looks like I was wrong about Herbert. I thought he just didn't have it in the clutch and made too many bad throws, and that it would be a mistake for a team to draft him in the first round. But looks as if he is doing OK. Watching him tonight, in the huddle before the first play, he looked really relaxed; I would say more relaxed than he did in college. And the way he got out of the way of that blitz was amazing. I didn't think he could move that fast. Much more mobile than the QB of a team I follow, Baker Mayfield.
 
I wonder if Herbert is as limited by the playcalling of his Charger coach as he was by playcalling of Duck coach?

* What a horrible loss to the Saints because their FG kicker blew a 40 yard FG, forced overtime and the Saints kicker did what he is paid for.

Dang, I feel sorry for Herbert. Another promising young QB whose career will likely be stillborn thanks to the crap team around him.
