The only thing Zion can do to win is drag his team to the playoffs over Morant and the Blazers. That feat, along with his outrageous numbers, should take home the trophy.

No. I’m saying Pelicans will finish higher than Grizzlies but not the 8th seed. Blazers will be 8 seed, then Pelicans. Grizzlies will be behind those 2 teams. Kings and Suns have nothing to do with it.

In 2003, LeBron (like Zion) was clearly the better player but it was hip to say Melo was better. It seems like the same thing now to say you’d rather have Ja which is ridiculous. IMHO

I said Id rather have Ja... I said nothing about Melo though. Ja and Zion are very different players though. My biggest concerns with Zion will be health, because in one year at Duke and one in the NBA he’s already missed a bunch of games. He’s huge and a freak athlete no doubt about that.

No, lots of people said that.

I was saying no one said Melo was going to be a better player than LeBron.

Lots of people did. I remember very well. It was hip to say Melo was going to be better. There were people who thought LeBron was overhyped and Melo was the better player.

I dont really care if its hip or not I was saying last year about this time that I thought Morant was going to be great. I really, really like his game.
I think Zions a tremendous and unique athlete, and if he avoids health issues he can be great too. I just think Ja is less of a risk.

I understood what you were saying. I was subtly implying that the Blazers have virtually no shot at the 8 seed given their health situation.

    A little too subtly, apparently.
