Grant is really good and a great fit for our team. We would automatically be way better. There is a chance that the Kicks would send Quickley and Toppin to Detroit and the 19th pick to us.
 
Simmons seems out of reach because Morey is out of his fucking mind.
 
Is there anybody currently playing in Tokyo that is going to be drafted tonight? That would be an interesting experience.
 
It's fucking nuts to me that Detroit has over 29 million in dead cap because of Griffin. I thought they might have some capspace after dumping Plumlee for nothing. Nope.

no, he's a guy who is a career role player who finally averaged 20 a game on ridiculously high usage.

he led his team to the worst record in the east.

aim higher. i want grant, but not for CJ

I don't think any of these "turned down" deals are real at all. I think CJ and a boatload of picks/swaps could get it done. I think CJ and RoCo could get it done with maybe a future draft asset. I even think CJ, DJJ and a couple of future firsts would possibly get it done. CJ is such an amazing fit for what Philly needs.

Only if you're breaking him for pieces or selling him to a contender for value. If you want a good player back, there is only a few of those out there in the league.

I think he's probing to find out value. It's like posting something on craigslist for a stupid amount of money to see if you get any bites.

I do want more than just Grant if we're trading CJ BUT

Grant's USG and TS% were on par with CJ's career last year. Good on Detroit for identifying Grant as someone who was hyper efficient on low usage before, and may be able to retain some of that by moving into a higher usage role.

So yeah, he's not the most ideal offensive player, but neither is CJ.

i don't think we will have to trade CJ if we want Grant.

He's a helluva defender too. With teams game planning for him he still shot 35% from three.

The only other deal that makes the money work is DJJ+Ant+Little+Elleby. Or DJJ + RoCo or Nurk.

It's pretty hard to get to that number without involving some other team.

Really surprised at the Plumlee trade. They just fucking SIGNED Plumlee! And he played really well for them! Troy Weaver drafts well (so far) but his free agency deals mystify me.

The part of the Russ deal that makes CJ's value go up is the news that Beal is excited for that package and Washington is doing it to build around him.

What? The Nuggets were significantly worse off this year. Just because they beat us doesn't mean they didn't skip a beat. They definitely missed Grant, Craig, and Harris.
 
I'm getting notifications on my phone for the MLB trade deadline but every time I check them I'm hoping it's some blockbuster for the Blazers. Disappointed every time.

He's perfect for the four. He can defend both forward positions, he can shoot the three. Put him with RoCo and you have arguably the best defensive forward combo in the game.

The only significant player they were missing was Murray.
