think it's the latter but at the same time, if it rises too much, Charlotte will simply take him or make a trade that we wanted to. most likely, it's just Givony being honest abut his prospect eval and it's where I have been with Scoot v Miller too.
what I think is that all of these writers, bloggers, pseudo-analysts, and talking heads need to generate views and clicks. Measured analysis and objective pros and cons don't drive traffic like hype, sensationalism, and exciting assumptions Scoot is really getting pushed hard and heavily hyped. Maybe he deserves it and is worthy of all the praise. But the more hype he gets the more skeptical I become. Right now, if he isn't as good next season as rookies Ja Morant, Luca Doncic, and Trae Young, he fallen well short of all the hype

I think it has a lot to do with the fact that they can’t really “hype” Wemby, so they’re trying to push another narrative, the “Scoot would be #1 in any other draft” BS. I would also say that if he is mini-LeBron like the Scoot fans would have you believe, San Antonio wouldn’t be so set on Wemby
