Time will catch up to him. Hell, it has 2 of the last 3 seasons (and like I said, having 4 months off helped him a ton in 19-20).
Top 5 player? Man needed play-in miracle shot to make playoffs and then lost in the first round. His time has passed.
Even in the bubble when they won the title you could see he couldn't get around guys to create offense. He had to resort to awkward spin moves. That team was so dominant defensively with KCP and Green they got just enough offense to let their D carry them. Plus a great few playoff weeks from Rondo, McGee, and Dwight after poor regular seasons. LeBron will have to be better than he was in those playoffs to carry this inferior Lakers roster to the top west seed. He will need to carry a much larger defensive burden. Him being that great over 82 games is about as likely as Kobe dominatung after tearing an Achilles. Lakers fans were delusional then and are delusional now.
Call me crazy but the way it looks to me the Suns and Jazz will again be the best in the west. Of course depending on Health the Nuggets could get in there. We all know the Clippers are without Leonard but he is listed to be back around Feb (we will see?). The Suns are without Saric and yes that could have an effect. The Jazz expect Rudy Gay to be back by the end of OCT and Bogdanovic is probable for the beginning of the season. Now the Nuggets have Barton back but Murray looks to be out until March so big questions there. Mavs are healthy but have a new coach Jason Kidd. Funny stat! Lakers have 4 players listed. Ariza Ankle questionable for start of season. James, Westbrook, Anthony all listed as "Rest" questionable for start of season. Warriors have Wiseman out until Nov 12th, Thompson out until Dec 25th. Blazers Tony Snell "Foot" probable for start. Like i said. The Jazz and Suns are healthy and they have pretty much the same rosters that were very successful last year. There is something to be said for continuity. Look for the Mavs to have a good start but Kidd is the question in my opinion. The teams under them all have some issues and have new players or coaches trying to work into the mix. You simply cannot expect the Blazers to excel right off the bat this year. Same thing can be said for Lakers because how can you add Westbrook and Anthony and not have some growing pains? Nuggets need Murray and Clippers need Leonard. Warriors need Thompson. Blazers are in a good position to get into the top 4 for the first half is what I see if things start to work out well and they stay healthy.

That's nice when your chasing down QB's, but DE's don't jump out of the building and think their joints can survive all that weight coming down over & over again.
