You see him passing any of those guys? There’s a major changing of the guard going on. Out with the old, in with Edwards, Shai, Maxey, and Halliburton. There are a lot of ifs, by your own admission, with Dame.

Stick a fork in ‘im he’s done! Maybe Griff hasn’t figured out how to play Dame and Giannis together. Dame sure has it cooking tonight w/o him.

Yeah they clearly haven’t figured out that Dame needs the ball in his hands to be Dame, and he only seems to get to do that if Giannis isn’t there.

It seems extremely easy to me and there could be a ton of sets that work. Dame/Giannis P&R in the half court is probably the best P&R duo ever. Giannis pushing the ball off of turnovers, rebounds and even some makes by the other team on the secondary break with Dame as a trailing shooter. Dame/BroLo Pick and Pop or Roll action up top and if the defense pays too much attention to that you get Giannis the ball in the paint and let him dominate.

I've been watching some of the games with them and they really haven't been doing these things consistently besides Giannis pushing it but when Giannis pushes the ball up the floor to put pressure on the opposing defense Dame should be running to a spot where Giannis knows he will be. If the opponent builds a wall and more than half the time they do then Giannis should get Dame the ball for open three pointers.

I'm sure they'll figure it out because the personnel they have pretty much dictates this shit.

the Bucks have the roster that Olshey should have (at least tried to) put around Dame.

this thread sure seems to get a lot more action when Dame has a bad game than when he has a good one, like his 37 points on only 18 shots tonight; 13 assists as well. And leading the Bucks to a win without Giannis. Bucks lost both games Dame missed by the way

I’d say the concerning thing is that they can seem to have Dame and Giannis play well at the same time.

like HB said, that was supposed to be the Stotts bailiwick but Griffin felt threatened....apparently

both players have been the primary on their teams for years. And neither is that good off-the-ball, especially Giannis. It will take time to develop synergy, if it does. It might have to start with an 'it's-my-turn-it's-you-turn' remedial offense. At least that would be better than parking Dame in the corner

Yeah but it seems like neither guy is having a really good game unless the other guy doesn’t play at all.

you could be right. I'd have to look at game logs but it does seem when Dame has a good game, Giannis doesn't. When Giannis has a good game, Dame doesn't

you know that would be a wild way of load managing both guys: have them each play while the other rests, experimenting with both on the court against bad teams until you can figure out how to make them work together. Both of them end up play like 50 games and then in the playoffs you have a secret weapon locked and loaded.
