Despite trading for Ramon Sessions, Mike Brown is starting Steve Blake at PG.

Kobe handles the rock primarily. Its convenient to have a PG next to him that is intent on standing in the corner and staying the fuck outta the way.

But all they talk about on the radio in LA is how they need real playmaking PG who can run Brown's offense. And why else did they trade for Chris Paul in December? To stay out of the way??

Brown doesn't have an offense ...

It's ONE game. Well two now. But you get my point.

Brown said that Blake was going to be our starter for the foreseeable future.

Is this the shit you guys had to go through?

Just wait until the playoffs.

A close friend of mine is a huge Lakers fan - he begs me every day to tell him Blake can't get worse.

I have to break his spirit every day by telling him oh, it can always get worse with Steve Blake.

Si, senor. On both accounts. Watching Blake state, and dealing with a stubborn, inflexible coach.

Did you see how suicidal we were two weeks ago when Blake was rumored to be headed back here? And Nate was still here, too...

LMAO! HAHAHAHAHAH! OMG YES! I was like "Fucking kill me now!"

So...uhm? Has Blake always just penetrated and kicked? Is he always afraid to shoot a layup? When does this shit end ://. Ramon Sessions is so much better.

Fuck, I wish we traded him back to you guys. ;].

After penetrating the lane, Blake often pulled up for quick 6-8" jumpers here vs. kicking it out. But he was a much better shooter here than there. So sucks for you guys.

We here in Portland love it. You guys are getting suicidal. Whatever it takes to rid the world of a few Lakers fans is okay by us.

I thought his outside shooting reputation was created to decoy the defense. Yes, he made 2 or 3 wide-open quickies per game, when the defense collected on Roy's side of the court and had to be pulled off with a diversion. But Blake couldn't just sink them at will. He could summon up the 4-leaf clover about 2-3 times to keep the defense honest. In his favor though, he did this at clutch moments, not cruising time, as I say about Aldridge.

What Steve Blake were you watching? The one that was airballing threes while missing a wide-open, insanely hot Rudy that could have tied the game against Houston in the playoffs?

I remember it as 1-2, so I tried to be nice and say 2-3. My point was that his league reputation as a long bomber was a manufactured one, and you seem to agree.

I don't think Sessions is a good fit with Kobe. He is a below average outside shooter. What is he going to do when Kobe has the ball?

I was listening to the game for a few minutes last night driving home. They raved about Sessions during the time outs, but the play by play was .......Sessions dribbles in to the front court, dribbling, still dribbling........
Maybe he and Bynum will mesh together. Kobe and Sessions.....doubtful IMO.

Sessions is their future plan. Eventually Kobe is gone and they need to move on. He is perfect for the big Bynum.
