    What a great day and anxiously awaiting Sunday's playoff game. In the meantime, can someone explain the AM super stat? and why it is used so so often by the NBA analysts. Who invented it?

    The Basketball-Reference database has Assists per Minute only back to 1926. It's catching on now.

    Thanks Riverman. Still have the boat, but it has definitely seen better days. Put a ton of money into the boat as the paint job would be equivalent to a $10k or more paint job today.

    I don't believe the infamous A/M stat had minutes as part of the equation. It's origin has never been proven either.
