Horrible player. We should trade him and start Napier.

No trade Value, couldn't trade Lillard for Javale.
Need to cut our ties with Lillard, like the Kings did with Boogie

Does "Lillard time" necessarily mean the last 5 minutes of a game? Who said that? I see Lillard time as any time we need to make baskets and he starts jacking them up. Could be when were down 20 in the 2nd.

We should only sign players who never miss shots.

Ted Martin made 5,221 shots without a miss but did the Blazers sign him?

Lillard played a lot better in crunch time today, I only saw him take one bad shot.

And it's even more true this year, where he's been abysmal in those situations. I wonder if Stotts has ever brought this up with Damian or if he's afraid of offending his star player, but Portland has a top 10 offense, so they should use it rather than use a method of offense that clearly sucks.

At a time when you really need points, why would you revert to a tool that is much worse than what you get running your normal offense?

Well, shooting percentages are kind of related to whether or not the shot went in.

Because there is a bit of an issue in encouraging Dame to go "Lillard Time", when I would rather see "Blazer Time". At one point when the game was on the line in the final minutes, Dame jacked a long three with full time on the clock and he wasn't even squared up. Might as well just handed the ball to the Suns.

It probably won't manifest until next season, but I would much prefer a more varied approach than "give Dame then ball and see if he can either get lose or jack up a long three." Seems much more effective to me to bring up the ball, try a PnR with Nurk, or give it to him in the high post, while Dame and CJ spot up (they both shoot better on Catch and Shoot) or dump to a cutter from the baseline. The defense has no idea where the shot will come from and it should end up with either an open, reasonable shot for Dame or CJ, or a layup for Harkless/Aminu. I don't think anyone really doesn't want Dame as one of the options in crunch time, but just not that he is encouraged in any way to play hero ball when we have so many other good options on the team.

But, yes, if we must have hero ball, then I would rather see the ball in CJs hands than Dames. CJ has better handles and usually ends up with a much better shot.

I feel like Curry has ruined the league with his silly shot selection.... the problem is that he makes them. Consistently. Dame didn't shoot like this until after LA left and Curry was MVP.
