Watching and rewatching the replay of that foul at the end of regulation, the fact that a travel wasn't called is pretty egregious.

True, but travels just aren't called very often, and it's not like she gained much of an advantage with it. Just got happy feet. Probably should be called, but most often isn't.

Stewie also appeared to get contact prior to receiving the ball, as well as on the catch. All okay no calls, though.

Still not convinced they didn't get her on the arm just below the wrist on the shot. And it has to be conclusive to overturn on the challenge.

First time seeing this play. Fuck the foul……Stewart literally took 4 steps BEFORE she dribbled…..wow! THAT’S what Minny should be complaining about.

It’s just such a slippery slope…. I don’t ever complain about end of game calls/no calls….. I’m more of MID game calls or no calls. Like that DUCK/OSU game…that messed up interception play that gave OSU the 7-0 lead…..that pissed me off. Calls usually even themselves out. If they didn’t duck up some random call mid game, it shouldn’t e en come down to the end of the game. Game should be called the exact same way throughout, nothing special at the end.

The frustrating thing about this series is that in most games the refs leaned heavily one way or the other on foul calls. It went both ways (but on a game by game basis), and both coaches complained about it.

And usually the team that got the benefit of the foul calls won.

    Not a good look.

Wow. For the hate Clark has received for flopping, you'd think there would be outrage here. Coach is literally telling them to flop.

Bro, if this person didn’t see a travel……not sure I can even continue reading that. Where I’m from….”bobbling a ball while moving with it” is the exact definition of traveling. WTF?

I love it how anything other than childish admiration toward CC is considered "hate"... Great for ratings.

It's a travel. But it happens every game in both the NBA and WNBA and is almost never called.

I mean, a coach telling their players to flop is the worse thing someone could do for the game right?

I've seen you say you don't like CCs style then link clips of her flopping. Does the coach telling their players to flop make you feel any sort of way?

I think there's a difference between people pretending they've been fouled when they actually haven't been, and reacting to legitimate contact to draw attention to its occurrence. In my mind, "flopping" is the first, and the Liberty coach was advocating the second.

Both instances require a bit of acting or embellishment

Good, you can identify the similarity. Now can you identify the difference?

I think both are just whatever. If someone flops for no reason the refs shouldn't call it and it makes them look foolish to the point they should stop. If someone is embellishing a foul, it can almost make them look foolish. Cant always get a call.

It wasn't the refs who turned the ball over multiple times during OT.

No, I don't care if she flops. I don't tend to respect players who do that as much as players who don't. I care if they make a spectacle about it and then whine about not getting calls. One reason I'm not a big fan of Chris Paul.

She literally said if they foul you, embellish it. That's "if they foul you". There's nothing wrong with yelling when you get fouled or embellishing it a bit as long as you stay in good position and it doesn't impact the flow of the game. Especially if that is what the officials are buying that game.

    That's just coaching.

If I hadn't seen the video of her saying it I wouldn't have suspected she had because the players weren't out their hunting for foul calls. They were still playing tough basketball.
