I was a pitcher also. I know exactly what that feels like.

I think it's pretty clear how little faith the staff has in the bullpen by how long they waited to pull Moore. Then when they pulled Moore, they quickly gave up 5 more runs, somewhat confirming why Waz was hesitant to pull Moore.

People wanted Grinsell pulled earlier in the game, but you could easily make the case they should've waited longer!

Maybe Dan Lanning can also start recruiting for baseball?

well, after we talked up Ducks' pitching....geeeeezuzz. I've never seen a team, on any level, a team walk 7 batters in a single inning

Can Dan Lanning recruit for the Blazers?

The bullpen was awful, with the lack of depth being the main issue. That was a painful watch.

If Waz had 10% of Lanning's NIL budget, he'd have a much easier time recruiting!

Ducks add a 4* Florida Offensive Tackle named Ziyare Addison to their class. Says he's shutting down his recruitment and won't take other OVs. Oregon is expected to lose both their starting Tackles to the draft following this season and 3 starters overall so I'd expect more OLine commits coming

btw, this new Duck Tackle verbal Left Tackle is wearing #58 in the highlights. Wondering if he's a fan of Penei?

It's crazy this guy is a low three star. I played basketball against Mike Delagrange back in HS and got to see him play on the football field a few times in HS. He was similar size to Manning. I remember thinking his signing was a bad sign for Oregon football. He actually ended up playing a decent amount for Oregon, but he looked nothing like this guy in HS. Not all three stars are the same.

Ducks have had a lot of successful 3 star recruits over the years. One of them won the Heisman.

True. However the very same reasons he was a 3 star recruit were the reasons he did not fair well in the NFL. Probably was the system that won him that Heisman. That doesn't take anything away from the season at all. I my opinion It makes it a bit more impressive.

We're a long ways to the end of the 2025 recruiting cycle and there will be several more rerankings of recruits. The recruiting sites largely make their star judgements based on guys attending various camps and the types of school offers that they self report. I don't know if it's the case with Manning, but he may not have even attended a camp due to injuries or logistics. That he obviously has received an offer from a top 10 program (Oregon) will put him more on the site's radar going into his Senior year this fall and a reranking may be coming... the only ranking that even somewhat matters is the final one.

Herbert and Clemens were both 3 star as well. I think I remember Patrick Chung and a few other defensive guys being 3 star.

Then there’s all too many 5 star flops like Cameron Colvin.

2* which means that he wasn't even evaluated. On rivals guys who are evaluated are given at least a 3* rating and then further differenciated on a sliding scale of 5.4 - 5.7
