Hey Everybody. If I came to Portland from Friday to Tuesday for games 3 & 4, does anyone here have a guest room that I could stay in? I'm allergic to cats. Respond here or PM. Either way. Thanks.

LOL, I was gonna offer you a room at my pad since I have 3 spare bedrooms... buuuuuut I also have 2 cats! ;)
Oh damn. I'm sooo allergic. I have a friend in Portland but she has cats too. Anyone else?

I couldn't afford a three bedroom house in the city. We made bank on that tiny bungalow when we sold though!
Was there a bidding war?

I've been indirectly involved in some home buying recently. It's fucking crazy what these people from California, are willing to pay for a home.

Yeah the housing market is nuts. People are overpaying so much for houses right now, and its not just limited to the City. The entire Portland-Metro housing market is exploding right now.

Just two offers in ten days. But it was $310k for 790sqft +unfinished basement

I love that folks gotta pay to be close to they offices. Let's me go where I want to live for my lifestyle and not pay big dollars. My house in SE or NE with walking proximity to restaurants I love would be 2-3 times more than I paid, shittier wine (and cocktails) and food and twice the price.

I'm not kidding. Had a meal at a restaurant in town here in "the country". Had the exact meal in Portland a week ago. Literally the exact same description on the menu. Food was higher quality, drink was higher quality and twice as strong. Price per person was 60% of that in the Metro.

AND THE CHEF AT THE RESTAURANT IN THE BURBS GRADUATED FROM THE CULINARY INSTITUTE OF TUSCANY
