My take; I'm sure we'd be interested in George or Cousins. I disagree they are available. If we offered the whole team outside of Dame for either one we get turned down. Maybe during the season something changes with Cousins but the tricky part is Sacramento would want veterans back to win now since they don't have their picks.

DeRozan would be available but he'll get a $20 mil max contract next summer when we could just sign him outright. Having him here this season winning games hurts our draft pick. Sending young talent out for him would be the exact opposite of the Batum trade and doesn't fit with what else Neil has done.

I do think Neil wants to see the value of the young talent increase here. If CJ or Meyers blow up into a near allstar as Eric Gordon did on the Clippers then we could start building a trade package for a star. But then we'd already have a potential young star so why not just keep that one? Well such a scenario wouldn't happen until at least next summer anyways and likely after.

You might be right. I honestly don't know. I think Neil might be completely content to ride out the year, get a lotto pick and use cap space. I could see him going either way.

Unless he breaks Dames leg in the lockerroom ( Knocking on my solid wood desk), then we aren't getting a lotto pick. :)

    Just sayin. :)

It's lotto or playoffs, and I highly doubt we're getting in the playoffs.

That doesn't make sense. how can it be either or without something in between? LOL. Honestly, I thin the 42 wins we will get will get us 9th -10th spot. Just out of the playoffs. Not good enough to be a Lotto, but I don't care., We don't need a lotto pick. We need guys to improve and then make the big trade at the deadline and then an offseason signing.

Unless they recently changed the rules, every team that doesn't make the playoffs is in the lottery (and every team that isn't in the lottery is in the playoffs).

Hmm that doesn't seem fair if its true. I thought the bottom 8-10 teams go into the lotto and the rest are based on record? I could be totally wrong. I don't know much about it. If you are correct then I say 42 wins and LOTTO BABY!!!

Everyone who doesn't make the playoffs is in the lotto... but your chance of winning is almost zero.

Hope RHJ doesn't turn into some defensive superstar. Plumlee has looked ok so far, but looks more like a backup energy guy. I like how good he is at finishing at the rim, and his athleticism and ball handling. He's definitely a unique and interesting player. But he doesn't seem to really be much of a "force" on offense or defense.

His defense is a huge concern of mine. How many successful modern NBA big men don't shoot outside nor protect the rim? Seems now they have to be able to do at least one of those. With his height and athleticism he should be a far better help defender.

At 2.3 mil he's got to be one of the lowest paid starters in the playoffs

He's on a rookie scale contract; doesn't really mean anything. Drummond makes $3 million and Dame $4 million. Draymond Green won a title making less than a million.

Harkless acquired for cap space and Aminu only making $7 million both had real low acqusition costs and those were less than a year ago.

Plumlee is the 11th highest paid Blazer, making less than even Vonleh and Roberts.

And he'll still be on his rookie contract next year. I'd say that's good value.

    Those guys aren't starters, though.

    Vonleh, until it counted....

Yeah. That's my point. Not only is Plumlee paid less than most starters, he's also paid less than a lot of 3rd string guys.
