Is it closed or just a 14 day quarantine? He did qualify his suggestion by saying if you have the time.
Yes, it is a very nice town to spend some time in. My wife certainly enjoyed it. There’s good restaurants and shops, and if you’re so inclined, the drive up and outta of there and around Mt. Hood back to Portland is awesome. a drive to Hood River and back is a great day trip.
I second that. Has a few cool shops too. If its windy, they have a park you can watch the kite surfers and what not.
I seem to recall a "Fruit Loop" that's the real draw. Lots of places with fruit stands and even one that sells fruit wine. I remember buying some awesome tiny red pears there.
Thinking of this as a day trip: McMenamins Edgefield for Breakfast Hood River, walk around Hood River Fruit Loop/Lavender Farm (worth it?) Trillium Lake Timberline Lodge Govt Camp Skibowl/Adventure Park Anything else?
Its survival from the gay frogs that are immune to Katana attacks, EMPs and my pain generating stroblite.
If you're going to be wandering around there it would be a crime not to visit Crown Point and Vista House.
