Stroud throws 5 TD passes, No. 3 Ohio St routs Toledo 77-21

Ohio State coach Ryan Day distributed the obligatory praise of his players after their score-at-will rout of Toledo, but the No. 3 Buckeyes won't dwell on it long with the Big Ten schedule around the next corner.

Instead of taking some time to enjoy the 77-21 rout of Toledo late Saturday, coaches were already into planning for Wisconsin, which the No. 3 Buckeyes will host next week in the first in a slog of nine Big Ten games.

Blake Corum was eager to be a workhorse. The Michigan running back got his wish on Saturday and delivered a game-changing performance.

Clifford's 4 TDs lead No. 14 Penn State past Chippewas

James Franklin took a few moments to look over the stats after his team's latest win.

Franklin's No. 14 Nittany Lions beat Central Michigan in nearly every column on Saturday, but after Penn State's 33-14 win, Franklin wasn't satisfied.

Spoilermakers: Purdue stifles No. 21 Minnesota for 20-10 win

Purdue has made a habit of these upsets of Top 25 teams under Jeff Brohm.

Toughing out this win at Minnesota was one of his proudest moments in six years as head coach.

Devin Mockobee rushed for 112 yards and a late touchdown to pad Purdue's lead, and the Boilermakers' defense fueled yet another takedown of a ranked opponent in a 20-10 victory over No. 21 Minnesota on Saturday.

Corum, McCarthy lead No. 4 Michigan past Iowa, 27-14

Michigan was ready to play at Iowa's Kinnick Stadium, right down to the pink towels.

The No. 4 Wolverines knew that five of the last six top 5 teams who played at the Hawkeyes' home were beaten. Michigan was prepared.

Michigan scored on four of its first five possessions, then fought off a late Iowa rally for a 27-14 win on Saturday.

No. 4 Michigan rallies without Hart to pull away at Indiana

No. 4 Michigan won Saturday with heart for Mike Hart.

After the running game coordinator collapsed on the sideline in the first quarter, the Wolverines regrouped at halftime, returned to Wolverines football and performed like Hart wanted.

Cornelius Johnson's 29-yard touchdown reception early in the third quarter gave Michigan the lead and the jolt it needed Saturday to celebrate a 31-10 victory over pesky Indiana without their beloved coach.

CJ Stroud throws 6 TDs, No. 3 Ohio St tops Michigan St 49-20

C.J. Stroud lofted a pass to his left, slightly short of Marvin Harrison Jr. and the son of a former NFL star did the rest.

Harrison made a twisting, leaping catch to snag a football that was near his right cleat for his third touchdown to help Stroud tie a school record with six touchdown passes as No. 3 Ohio State coasted to a 49-20 win over Michigan State on Saturday.

No. 5 Michigan tops No. 10 Penn St 41-17, runs for 418 yards

Michigan's massive offensive line opened huge holes and its speedy running backs took full advantage.

Donovan Edwards ran for a go-ahead, 67-yard touchdown and Blake Corum had a 61-yard run for a score on consecutive snaps in the third quarter as the fifth-ranked Wolverines pulled away and beat No. 10 Penn State 41-17 on Saturday.

Brown's 180 yards, defense carry No. 24 Illini past Gophers

Chase Brown just keeps impressing Illinois coach Bret Bielema.

''If there's a better player in college football who has had an effect on his program,'' Bielema said, ''I'd like to know who it is.''

Brown rushed for 180 yards on a career-high 41 carries and caught a 40-yard touchdown pass to complement the No. 24 Illini's strong defensive performance in a 26-14 victory over Minnesota on Saturday.

Tuimoloau shines as No. 2 Ohio St beats No. 13 Penn St 44-31
For the final act in a spectacular performance, J.T. Tuimoloau kept a blocker from cutting his legs, reached up and grabbed a pass intended for a receiver a few yards behind him and casually cruised into the end zone to seal an Ohio State victory.

The interception was the second of the day for the Buckeyes' defensive end - yes, defensive end - to go along with two sacks, a fumble caused and recovered, and a tipped pass that a teammate came down with for another takeaway.

''This is kind of his coming out party today,'' said Ohio State coach Ryan Day, underselling the sophomore's breakout game.

Tuimoloau's strip sack and pick-6 in the fourth quarter helped the No. 2 Buckeyes erase a deficit and pull away from No. 13 Penn State 44-31 on Saturday.
