Those are some cool photos. Reminds me of trips I've made with my wife in Korea. Love encountering family run restaurants of all sizes but mostly the mom and pop types. I remember this little place in Taegu that had the best won tons which I would eat daily at lunch time. The dad was the cook and mom waited on tables. Every time we went there a huge smile would break out across their faces. I really miss that. Then there was this small open air restaurant along a trail up a hill side to the largest Buddhist shrine in Korea that had this super delicious mountain vegetable which utilized a green plant made into a kimchee that was one of the most delicious foods I've ever eaten maybe even better than one of my real favorites, kimcheed water cress.
Holy mackerel, a big tip to me is upwards of 25%. I guess if the bill were tiny I would probably give more. By the way, Americans may say kimchi but Koreans say kimchee.
I would do the same. When I was a boy I grew up poor. My mother worked as a waitress and my father divorced my mother. She got a small alimony check so had to work as a waitress to put bread on the table. Her tips were terrible. Now, I am well off so I try to help struggling waiters and waitresses as much as I can. During these days of the Covid-19 pandemic I try to help even more. What with all our tipping and our gifts to our church and with our needy relatives plus the Covid-19 pandemic extra expenses we no longer have an excess of money. We are now saving to help out my wife's brother and Christmas giving.
Big couple days for THELITTLEHCP....... college recruiting is ramping up. Schools and recruiters can’t “OFFICIALLY” reach out until June 15th...... but they can send out invitations to their ID Camps. A way for you to visit the school and they can see the kids play. UMass Idaho Vanderbilt Houston Oregon UofP There have all sent invites and there have been some others as well surprisingly. Not sure if that’s a big deal or not since they can’t contact us yet, but she is very excited about this. And last night at her practice, her coach informed her that Gonzaga has reached out multiple times to let them know how interested in her they are. In fact they will be coming to watch her practice June 1st. This kid has worked SO hard and is SO driven! She has a College Showcase in North Carolina in June and the National Playoffs are in Florida in July, so that will be even more exposure. And she is only a sophomore by the way. #DadBrag #GirlDad The only reason I’m sharing here is because of this amazing photo of @THE HCP !
My great niece just recently graduated in three years with two degrees summa cum laude with a 4.6 GPA out of a 4.0 possible. She's never had worse than an A- her entire life. Went to a top private prep school and a very tough college. Now she's got a full ride to one of the best medical schools in the country. Could have gotten into Harvard or Yale but they didn't offer the specialty that she wanted. She's now going to Boston University. She wanted Emory (her college), North Carolina U or Boston U for medical training. Wants to go into research. We're so proud that our buttons are bursting.
That is not your daughter. You paid a movie star for that photo. You could not put out a daughter that attractive.
