The Duckies tailed way off at the end of last season which, along with conference reputations, is probably playing large in the minds of those predicting (& betting) this game. Being openly betrayed during last season by their "loyalty & family" HC was pretty much a pin to the program's balloon. Between that and general poor QB play, they were a sad watch as things wound down last year. But it's a new season with a promising new coach, staff and QB. The presumptive starter is Senior transfer Bo Nix who's ranking out of HS was higher then any QB ever to start a game at UO... good reason to think they majorly upgraded the most important position. He'll have a plethora of weapons to distribute the ball to.

I just read/watched like 5 different outlets saying that Georgia's size/speed advantages will win them the day, but good grief do those guys even bother to look at the rosters? I don't know speeds of each player, but Oregon is verifiably huge and loaded with quality depth. The entire starting OLine is back featuring 4 Seniors and a Junior, most with legit NFL aspirations, averaging 6'4.5" & 319lbs. Georgia's OLine features 4 Sophomores and a Junior averaging 6'5 & 310. Can Oregon slow the Georgia run game? If Georgia is getting 5-6 yards a pop, of course its a route. But the Duck DLine is also huge, talented, deep and experienced. The Linebackers are possibly the best group in program history, with multiple day 1 NFL pick type prospects. I can not wait to see Justin Flowe lining up next to Sewell. Despite losing a ton of talent to the last NFL draft, the Georgia D is still loaded with former HS All-American types at all 3 levels.

I'm expecting a back and forth game with early season sloppiness. But like last year going into Columbus when no one gave UO a shot, I see no reason this is the mismatch the predictions suggest... Lets Go Ducks!

Both teams will sport plenty of newbies for this game. This will be a tough game, but not unwinnable. Let Joja and their media underestimate the power of the Swoosh.

I think Bo is 0-3 all-time vs Georgia.

They need a sustained drive here. Can’t have the defense on the field all game that will be a disaster

Yeah. Not a bad gamble though putting them in that field position.

I can’t remember if you’re a beavers or ducks fan though

The Ducks went down to Georgia,
they were looking for a game to steal.
They were in a bind, quickly way behind,
and Old Phil was looking for a deal.

When he came across a Bulldog,
drinking a Terrapin -- cause man, it was hot.
Old Phil jumped onto a hickory stump
and said, Bulldog, let me tell you what.

I guess you didn’t know it but Georgia wears Nike too.
And if you care to take a dare, I’ll make a bet with you.
Your Dawgs play pretty good football,
but give Old Phil his due.
I’ll bet some Air Jordans, against your Dawgs
Cause the Ducks are better than you.

The Bulldog said, my name’s Stetson, and it might seem rash
but I’ve seen your Ducks and I’m sorry for you,
because all they’ve got is flash.

I like the Ducks more than the Beavs. But I'm a fan of both.

Well this game is going about how I expected, just was hoping they’d hang until the 3rd quarter at least.
