I can see why...I watched 3 or 4 of his games and he's a skilled big man..unselfish..plays both ways. Got some Cliff Robinson in his game.

Not straight up and not in my current state of ignorance.
BUT: if I truly believed that Thon Maker was actually the age he says, and free from any signs that he's got weak knees, and able to become a top-flight defender, then yes, I would be prepared to give up CJ to the Bucks as part of a package including Maker (and no, not including Antetokounmpo, because the Bucks would never do that). I can give reasons if you're interested.

(I don't expect Maker ever to approach CJ's offensive capabilities, even in a best-case scenario, in case you're wondering.)

Your second sentence is at war with your first.

That's why I think you'd have to offer CJ. And I imagine their calculations might've changed with Parker's second major injury.

I just think that CJ would fit PERFECTLY on that team. You could start him at PG because GA is their real PG (like the Bulls starting Ron Harper or Steve Kerr because they had Pippen).

How much will CJ be earning next season when his contract kicks in?

That dribble would probably be higher than my head. But the shooting is good.

(In general I'm not a fan of lauding people because your guy falls over. Usually you can blame it more on the floor or the guy's shoes. It's just a form of ritual humiliation and it just leads to defenders not trying hard because they'll be laughed at (like shotblockers getting out of the way so they're not "in the poster"))

The Bucks REACHED for Thon Maker. Unless something has changed, they're not giving up cheap, and probably not at all.

If we're looking for a PF I think we need to be more creative. Find some diamond in the rough, through the draft or elsewhere. There are always gems in the summer league, NBDL, I would have more specific suggestions but has gotten kind of rusty in terms of watching basketball. I know many here are still angry at TRob for trading him (I know it makes no sense) but I think TRob would be great for us right now and he's gettable, at least in the summer. There are other options, need to think outside the box

Disagree. TRob's problem was that he just can't play in a system. He's good at rebounding and dunking but that's not good enough. We need skilled players who understand the nuances of team defense.

He's super strong, athletic, very effective and I think well liked by his teammates. He was a fan favorite when he played for us, what changed?

Nothing from the time we waived him because he wasn't helping us win.

We didn't pick up his option and then realised we couldn't re-sign him because we didn't have his bird rights (picked him up from waivers). It was Olshey's biggest blunder since he came here and the reason we waived him. After that mess he didn't get any playing time for monthes when the only logical reason was we couldn't keep him anyway (or to downgrade his value so he would resign with us for cheap)

I really wanted him to work out, because he was fun to watch. But he's poor man's Kenneth Faried. He runs! He jumps! He gets consigned to the bench when you actually get a good PF! Why do you think he keeps bouncing around the league?

Maybe because the Gods destin him to come back to us? I dunno.
And IMO he's better than Faried. Faried is much more bouncy, TRob has a much lower center of gravity and is stronger

Great athlete, terrible basketball player. Nothing has changed.

And, that's TRob's biggest problem, he has shown ZERO improvement since he came into the league. What new low post move does he have this year - none, same as always. How's his FT shooting? Oops, .432, shitty as ever.

The guys is in his 5th season and SEVEN teams have given up on him. The last three, PHI, BRK and LAL are three of the worst teams in the league and need all the talent they can get. If you can't can't get PT on those rosters, man do you suck.

He's a great rebounder, and that's it. He makes one, or two, spectacular plays a year, and that teases people with his "potential", but he spends the rest of the time losing his man on defense, making unforced turnovers, bricking free throws and committing stupid fouls. Generally fucking up everything his team is trying to do.

WTH are you talking about? EVERYTHING you said in that paragraph is false.

We didn't pick up Robinson off waivers. We traded Kostas Papanikolau, Mirko Todorovic and two future 2nd round picks (2015 and 2017) for him.

Olshey didn't pick up his option, because as the 5th pick in the draft, it would have cost the Blazers $4.7 million. We could have still re-signed him the following summer for any amount up to $4.7 million. He eventually signed a 1-year deal with BRK for $981,300. So, turns out Olshey was right. No way in hell was Robinson worth the $4.7 million his team option would have cost us.

We never waived Thomas Robinson. We traded him to DEN who immediately waived him. Why would we try to downgrade the value of a player we were looking to trade? The reason he "didn't get any playing time for months" (which actually isn't even true) was because he sucked. He was actually in and out of the rotation in the month and a half before the trade. During that time, he played over 20 minutes in a game six times.

The fact is, he was given plenty of opportunity to succeed here, in SAC in PHI, in BRK and in LAL and has been shown the door every single time. There is a reason nobody wants this guy. He just is not a very good basketball player.

    Speaking of getting posterized:

Technically, Maker wasn't trying to get out of the way, but he didn't do a very good job of getting in the way, either. Probably should have been an and-1.
