I cant see them blowing this lead but if they do then Gallant is gone for sure.

Rangers got Anton Blidh for Rydahl. Looks like a gritty fourth liner with 84 games NHL experience. He will provide all the grittiness we need lol

It's not a lock, but they'd have to pretty much fall apart to miss altogether, plus Ottawa or Buff would have to play like 80% the rest of the way. The thing to avoid is falling into WC2 and having to play Boston off the bat, though no series will be a picnic. Shesterkin needs to start being an above average goalie at least which he hasn't this year and the poor D zone exits and netfront stuff needs to improve. Offensively they need to simplify things and go straight ahead more, with Fox shooting and Kreider getting around the net.

They will finish 3rd in the Met. Even if they get 22 points the rest of the way, which is just about .500, the Pens would need 31 of 42 points - 73.8%. Not happening. I know you guys go on emotion and not math, but do the math.

Its turning into a long list....hahaha
Yeah, definitely don't want to get Boston in Round 1. Any of the divisional opponents they will likely need to go through anyway so bring it on.

While I agree that they are all but locked into 2nd/3rd in the Met, keep in mind they DO play 3 games against the Pens (all within the same week). It's not as big of a stretch if they weren't facing each other that many times.

Agreed - if the Pens went 6-0 or 6-1 in the 3 games point wise, it is possible (remember 2 of 3 at MSG). But overall big picture it is highly unlikely we drop below 3rd. And more than highly unlikely we are the 2nd WC and play the Bruins, that would mean the Pens and another team pass us. Unless we fall apart none of that is happening.

Surprising that Boeser didn't get moved.
