I’m from Oregon.

Concerned about your opposition making attack ads about you being a carpet-bagger? We can figure out a good counter-strategy. Maybe you can endorse a plan to combine Eastern Oregon, Northern California, Idaho and Wyoming and point out that you lived all your life in the combined state of Wyorcaho.

Who Knows What Downtown Portland Is Really Like? The People Working the Cash Registers.
“People long for the old days of Portland. They keep saying, ‘I wish for the old days.’ But OK, which part? The violence and the racism?”

"I've lived a block from here since '99, and I've seen a lot of changes. And I don't think the changes that are happening now are necessarily bad. Shit's been boiling up and it was bound to happen.

"Hopefully, all the protests will be for a good cause. I was out there six nights in a row. I got gassed six nights in a row. One time after working a 13-hour shift, I went out there and got gassed. I was born in Romania, where unmarked cars picking people up under communism was a common thing. My dad escaped. That's how I ended up here. So, yeah: Trump got me out there really quick. 'Trumpski' got me out there.

It will be interesting to see how this plays out :jerry:

Portland City Commissioner Jo Ann Hardesty denied Thursday that she was involved in a minor hit-and-run accident in Southeast Portland that another motorist reported to police.

A driver reported that she was rear-ended Wednesday afternoon while stopped at a traffic light, according to sources familiar with the allegations but unauthorized to speak publicly.

The driver reported the collision after returning home. She told police she had been side-by-side earlier on the road with the car that struck her and saw the other driver on the phone or looking down in her lap before the accident.

A driver also gave police a license plate of the car that struck her. Hardesty was listed as the suspect on a computer dispatch report. No injuries were reported.

Hardesty said the allegations are false, according to her spokesman, Matt McNally.

I would think it would be difficult to lie. The car would show evidence of a collision. The other driver said that she saw the person looking at their phone so I would think she could identify Hardesty if it was her.

Now you're going to rid the Senate of four Republican votes. I like it.

Trying to raid federal buildings. I wonder if this will receive the same criticisms and condemnations that the jan6th idiots got.
Lets see....

This isn’t domestic terrorism because it happened at night according to the DOJ but trying to burn down a federal building with people inside it should be punished.

I’m all for peaceful protests and even some civil disobedience, I was on the bridge in my profile photo, but this type of stuff should not be accepted by Mike Schmidt or Merrick Garland and people should go to prison. I did notice there is a Special Prosecutor investigating DA Schmidt for prosecuting based on politics. Not even a year in and already a major scandal.

There is the UniParty government and their brand of crimefighting, and then there is the rest of us who pay for it all.

“An attack on a courthouse while in operation, trying to prevent judges from trying cases, that plainly is domestic extremism, domestic terrorism,” Garland said. “An attack simply on a government property at night or under other circumstances is a clear crime, and a serious one, and should be punished.”

If that is “setting fire” to a building, then they are incredibly incompetent. Jeezus H Criminy. And where are the hundreds (if not thousands) who tried to.....you know.....actually overturn a valid election.......?

Anyone wanna talk false equivalencies??? I don't condone this shit in any way, shape or form but the Right isn't just reaching, it's actually stooping........same shit, different day.

I condemn idiots of all colors, of all corners, and of all political leanings, but this isn't on the same scale as the Jan. 6th shit, bro. That Jan. 6th shit is historic. Will be written in history books.

Those dumbshits that are trying to burn shit down, find them and lock their asses up. It's that simple. Dumbshits are dumbshits, let's not try to categorize them further than that.

oh i agree but we must hold the same consistency to all regardless the outcome.

thsi is kind of like sayin a guy who tried to rob a bank but only got away with 5o bucks is not near as bad as a guy who robbed a bank and got away with 50k.

the crime is the same regardless of the result.

They need to put a stop to this shit downtown one way or the other. Its gone on way to long, there are those down there that think they rule the area and will try an intimidate anyone that gets in their way or disagrees with them. I still get pissed thinking about the scum bags that Harassed my Daughter and 14 year old granddaughter downtown just because she had a youth for christ TShirt on.

anyone who defends this shit for any reason at all are no better than anyone who defended jan. 6th.
Period.

Yeah, and I'm bringing a great bottle of champagne which I'll drink to celebrate Biden's win and you can drink to celebrate our getting together. I somehow have this feeling that you lost on purpose. The champagne is none other than, what would you like it to be, Dom Perignon.

How many died here? How many were at risk of dying? 0

That building is made of concrete, steel, and glass. A burning pallet leaned against the wall is not a threat.

Which national leader incited this behavior?

This is nothing like the capital riots...

The actions were the same. Regardless of who instigated or how many. The actions of a few are just as bad as the actions of many.

so lets get detailed. The person who ignited the fire in Portland is less guilty that the person who damaged property inside on jan 6th?

yes or no?

Shopping lifting and murder are the same since they're both crimes.

oh bullshit. I never said murder.
Im talking about the insurrection and attempt to take over a federal building.

spin spin spin.

the effects of it will always vary. The innitial act was the same. You can make excuses all you want.

But someone got murdurered!
By a few. Ot the masses that tried to take over the building. Just like those who tried to take over the building on friday in Portland.

Typical spin bullshit.

Psst... you never talked about shoplifting either so I guess there went your entire point.
