All I can say is in Lane County the quality of life is better for homeowners than when meth tweakers were all around the burbs....it's cleaned up alot....the homeless situation is huge now due to covid and unemployment as well as 500, 000 homes being burned to the ground this summer....I see higher tech homeless camps with nicer tents than before....when homeless were pretty much mentally ill or chronic alcoholics....homeless now have kids in some cases....that's not because of politics but in many cases is due to the rise in the cost of living.The cops have not been defunded....that's just been written on protest signs in major cities but they have jobs where short order cooks don't....if they don't want to do their job then they make it political. Police are public servants...when you want to buy gas for your car the attendent never says...no, I'm not selling you gas today, you have a Trump sticker....cops have a job to do....let's make sure they do it the right way which is the issue to begin with.
