Not giving up any future draft compensation (including swaps) to move up in this draft under virtually any circumstance. So from that perspective, both proposals are dead in the water. If Memphis wants Brogdon or RWIII in exchange for a 14 to 9 swap, I'm certainly open to it if the board looks right. But, I'm not including any "future" asset.

Particularly since we're trading both players we got for Jrue "Finals MVP" Holiday...

One or the other, not both. And of course the first proposal requires offering a pick that we can't actually trade due to the Chicago pick obligation.

I wouldn't mind the first deal, changing the 2027 1st to a swap.

looked at a half a dozen or so mocks, and they mostly had the blazers taking one of...
    Holland, Clingan, Knecht

Hi, my name is Zach Edey, and I have even more elite "mesurables", plus I'm a good shooter and one of the most elite scorers in NCAA history.

Not buying it. The real Zach Edey could spell "measurables."

Perhaps if that swap were very heavily protected (like lottery). Memphis, barring a Ja meltdown, will still be very good at that point, and we could very easily the still in the same position we are now, sadly.

The Grizzlies regret that they have but one #9 pick to lose for this proposal.

I think we should Draft Clingan at 7 and Edey at 14. I have heard what amazing prospects they are, why not both. Then we would have our starting center in Ayton, and a 2nd and 3rd string center in the draft would make all the losing and tanking last year worth it.

Typical of a guy with "Bullz" in his name to want to recreate the mighty Longley-Wennington-Kleine trio of yore.

Zach Edey's fingers are so big he sometimes has problems typing.

because I value the potential of the W's 2024 pick more then the Griz's and the rest is a wash at best? If the locker room has to be disrupted with a move, I'm looking to upgrade the talent &/or fit, not just tread water. That trade lacks upside

I have this sinking feeling that the Pistons are going to take Knecht, then I'll have to hope Risacher or Castle are on the board at #7 (unlikely). Then Holland falls and we take him #14 and Salaun #7, where we miss out on our rim running center with potential (Missi, Ware). Langdon is said to be unimpressed with the Ignite guys. More and more mocks and media folk are catching up on Knecht being a sure thing.

Careful, really don't see a "sure thing" in this draft. If Knecht becomes one, good on ya.

Sure, I guess maybe KOC would be a decent scout.

He didn't have the confidence to say he'll be best player in the world like Shae and Chet

    So?

Dame in his predraft workout interviews said his game resembled closely to perennial non-star George Hill.
