I voted third party every year since I turned 18 in 1972. I voted for Socialist Workers Party candidates, not because I thought they would get elected but because as Eugene Debs said, better to vote for what you want and not get it than to vote for what you don't want and get it. But IMO a protest vote has to be enthusiastic or it is wasted. About 10 years ago the SWP pretty much withdrew from political activism. They have taken a sharp turn to the right, including supporting fracking and the Keystone XL pipeline and opposing transgender rights. Turned right on immigration and refugees. So they lost me. And the question becomes, what do I do? The Greens strike me as unserious and their candidate is an anti-vaxxer. That lets her out. Libertarians out of the question as I really like public schools and public libraries and minimum wage and anti-discrimination laws, among other things.

Crickets....how about this. Let's pretened a fetus feels nothing until it comes out of the womb. Let's also pretend I invented a cattle prod type thing that a woman inserts to torture the fetus daily until it dies. No drugs, no coat hanger. Just a device I can sell on Amazon that any woman can buy to kill her unborn child.

Maybe it takes a few weeks of this until it dies.

Would a man be allowed to call for such a device to be outlawed? Does a person have to have been pregnant to know this admittedly made-up device should be illegal?

I'm against abortion, I like being alive tyvm.
Unless they're are major defects(3 limbs, half a brain, etc) found with the child that would greatly hinder their quality of life. There are other options than aborting. Adoption is one, just because a boy, and a girl might find it hard to give up a newborn.. Doesn't mean one or both have the right to kill it before it's legally a "baby".
Both parties involved need to take responsibility for their act. Not just the boy, or the girl.

Don't ask me why my mother didn't realize not having a period for months wasn't a sign of me growing inside her or anything.
That's not something I've bothered to ask her.

I shouldn't actually respond to what seems like an LSD flashback inspired post but here goes.....

We are a nation of laws, any person in this country can propose any law of any kind. At any time. There is no limit on which subgroup of the population can propose or enact laws on another subgroup.

If you don't like it you can vote against it.

The hypocrisy is very obvious from your posts. People freak out when Trump says that guy had no right to criticize him because he clearly did have the right. You have the right to believe incorrectly that men have no right to legislate abortion.

I have the right to explain that while I'm for legal abortions I think people who use them as birth control are evil assholes.

Actually it's called the "Equal Protection Clause" in the 14th amendment ...
 
Which we don't even have to do, we can find more justices that think the constitution is some sort of living document they can bend to their own choosing. Not something I want, but that's what we have now.
 
By the way, I'm not for most of these abortion laws if any. The repugnants try to create laws to outlaw abortion by loopholes, just like the democraps try to outlaw guns by creating different rules.

I don't like either. Change the law.
