Anybody going? My wife and kids are having a "play group" dinner, so I think I'll head to the Rose Garden after work.

Grab some free tickets at a Wells Fargo today and watch the guys scrimmage tonight!
 
Personally I'm not gong. But if attending posters tell us their thoughts afterwards, it will be much appreciated.

I'm not a video guy. My wife and I laugh whenever I am responsible for the video. Frankly, the end result always sucks.
 
Yah, i use just the digital video option on my digicamera...but i've been taking some vids with my phone and uploading them every day. interesting stuff for keeping track of what you do.

Wow. That is way too much information. Nobody hear wants to hear about you and your wife's videos and the end result always sucking.

So much for the Fan Fest. I called 10 Wells Fargo branches and none of them have any tickets left.

Every other year that I've gone, I've *always* just gotten the "tickets" at the door. There's always been plenty of staff on-hand, walking about and asking whther or not anybody needed tickets. Have no fear, Papa', you'll easily be able to get in.
 
If anyone is downtown and is looking for tickets, you can go to the concierge's desk on the first floor of the Wells Fargo Tower. Enter on the 4th Avenue side (not the 5th Avenue bank lobby side), walk through the elevator lobbies to the back side of the first floor and go to the concierge's desk. As of this morning at 8:30 a.m. there was a stack of tickets just sitting on that desk.

Just show up outside the door. They'll let you in.

BTW, if you want a data point as to whether or not Blazermania is back, check out PapaG's quote.

It sounds like the thing tonight is going to be a sell-out, and HCP's post confirms it.

I kind of miss the days when no one was at the games. :devilwink:

All the season-ticket holders get tickets to the Fan Fest. People will always offer you some outside of the door.
 
Do the door actually open at 5? The tickets say 5:00 pm and I assumed that was start time so I thought they doors must open before then.

WELLS FARGO FAN FEST SET FOR TONIGHT

Players to greet fans at gates starting at 5 p.m.

WHO: 2008-09 Portland Trail Blazers

WHAT: Wells Fargo Fan Fest, including family-oriented and interactive games and headlined by an intra-squad scrimmage. Entrance is free with voucher or Wells Fargo card.

WHERE: Rose Garden

WHEN: Tonight, Friday Oct. 3

Players will greet fans at the gates surrounding the arena from 5:00-5:30.****

Notes:

-Players and coaches will be available to the media at the conclusion of the scrimmage.

-Parking is free to the public in the garden garage.


Approximate Timing:

5:00pm – Doors Open
5:00-5:30pm – Players stationed at entrances greeting fans as they arrive (*one player stationed at suite level)
5:30-5:50pm – Players take the court for a question & answer session with Mike Barrett
6:05-6:50pm – Scrimmage (two 20-minute halves)
