Re: If we lose to Stanford...
If we lose to Stanford and both UO & Stanford tie for the division, then Stanford plays for the PAC-12 title as they won the head-to-head game. I think there is no question we'd get an at large selection to a BCS game at 11-1. But, if at the end of the season 'Bama, OSU & FSU are undefeated, then "Bama/FSU play in the natty, OSU plays Stanford in the Rose Bowl and UO probably plays in the Fiesta Bowl against whomever.
It would be the Big 12 champ again, although there is a chance that the Orange Bowl could take Oregon as an at-large, since I believe they have first choice of at-large teams this year. There is a chance that the Ducks could be left out of a BCS game, though, is Northern Illinois or Fresno State qualify.
Let's say Oregon loses a game to Stanford in this hypothetical, and the other unbeaten teams win out.
BCS title game: 'Bama/FSU
Rose Bowl: Pac 12 champ/tOSU
Fiesta Bowl: Baylor/BCS at-large (2nd choice, I believe)
Orange Bowl: AAC champ (Louisville/Cincy/etc.)/At large. A one-loss Clemson would be the Orange Bowl's pick, I believe. They then would get last pick (NIU of Fresno?).
Sugar Bowl: NIU or Fresno/At large. Assume that either LSU or Auburn will be BCS eligible. One of them gets the bid.
In this scenario, teams in the mix would include Wisconsin/Michigan State/Oregon/Stanford (if they lose Pac-12 title game)/Oklahoma??? Oregon would be selected over Stanford, based on fans traveling, but a 2-loss OU may be more attractive in terms of selling seats than a 1-loss Oregon for the Fiesta Bowl, considering Oregon played in it last year.
It's possible that both Oregon and Stanford could be shut out of BCS bowls if Stanford beats Oregon, then loses to ASU/UCLA/Arizona/USC in the Pac 12 title game. Meaning Stanford would be in the Alamo Bowl, and Oregon would likely end up in the Holiday Bowl.
It would be interesting, to say the least.
