Man the democrats in the committee are trying to downplay this hearing badly!
 
Ugh!!! Hilary talking about the hundred accounts of ambassadors that lost their life since 1972 was a straw man to downplay the tragedy in Benghazi. Then her bullshit statement that "boots on the ground" is the last possible choice. Well no shit! I would suspect the multiple requests, asking for help, explained that shit just hit the fan.

As for the ones previously that died. We normally get our ambassadors out when civil war starts happening. Normally those other deaths were from surprise events or attacks.

The denied request for additional security there tells me all I need to know about her. Between this shit, and her email fiasco, I am not a supporter.

The democrat committee member asked again and she had a rehearsed response. Whenever the Republican committee members ask questions, she dodges, when democrats ask questions, she has a nice rehearsed answer. I thought these committee members aren't supposed to contact those being questioned? Am I wrong?
 
Clinton hiding behind the "security experts" is appalling. They fucked up! But She is the one that had people out there in harms way, relying on dubious security provided by the host country.
When the host country does not provide adequate security, then the Secretary of State (or the President) must step in, not the minion underlings. The ball was in her court and she did not
even try. She is the only one with authority to support her people, in this case, it would have taken an act of war to call down the needed support to protect those people she had in harms way.
She apparently is too dimwitted or lacked the commitment to support her people. That is not Presidential.

The Donald may indeed be an ass, but he will get my vote over this person who watched her people get slaughtered, and did nothing except rack it up to some pathetic video to obfuscate the incident.

My take so far is that the Republicans are trying like crazy to bring in other issues that aren't strictly relevant and that the Democrats are doing their best to throw a dead man under the bus. Typical government clown circus....

I think we need to start an entirely new thread titled, "Who does the smarmy, supercilious, I'm smarter than you smirk the best, Trump or Clinton?"
 
So.... I doubt anything will come from this because Hilary is the chosen one to be fielded for the Democrat Party. Obama won't allow the charges to be made on the email scandal, nor will this Benghazi hearing do much to incriminate her as well/

The Fox News base argument is False. There aren't too many republicans that believe a thing that hack network has to say. The majority of Republicans want their candidates and legislators follow through with what they promise.

Yeah, the Hillary-centric questions tend to follow the same trend as other polls (Pew, Fox News, etc) . She hasn't handled the situation all that particularly well.

But what is more telling is that most people agree it is being used to gain a political advantage. Hence, why I only pointed that out. Whether or not Hillary has conducted herself well throughout the investigation is another point entirely.

I'd be curious to see what polling would look like after today's circus.
 
Bullshit, PapaG-like thread about a Republican Hollywood production of smoke and mirrors. Nobody cares. What Americans care about is not having another asinine Bush war, and not exploding the deficits to a new scale as in the 80s and 00s. Everyone knows that the next president will be a Democrat.

51%, +4, say the republicans are handling it appropriately.

Seems like that's better than they did in the 2012 election. So one might presume all Romney voters plus a decent chunk of Obama voters make up that 51%.
 
Be interesting to see what those polls say next week. I know I'm biased, but I don't see where Republicans gained a whole lot today.
