San Antonio tried out LaMarcus Aldridge, its second-best player.

On one possession in the second quarter, Aldridge was being defended by Green on the block when rookie Patrick McCaw came with a double-team. Aldridge swung the ball to Bryn Forbes, who stuck a 3 from the top of the key.

Green was livid with McCaw, ordering him not to help on Aldridge. He couldn't regularly command a double-team. That's how ineffective Aldridge was Tuesday, finishing with eight points on 4-of-11 shooting.

"LaMarcus has to score for us," Popovich said after suffering the second-worst defeat of his postseason career. "He can't be timid. He turned down shots in the first quarter. He can't do it. You've got to score. Scoring has to come from some place."

Poor Aldridge.
 
What is hilarious is that Pop makes Aldridge play center...something he refused to do in Portland and claimed as the reason he wouldn't extend his contract early...then they went out and got Rolo to please him.....Gasol isn't Rolo..Lamarcus looks hesitant, awkward and out of synch most of the time with the Spurs..even shots he's making look ugly.
 
Two of their main pieces are out and the opposing teams defense are even more zeroed in on him. Dubs are like, let anybody else score but LA. Still one of the best Bfs in the game. This is what bugs me about this plate. Hate/Love for a team or something blinds your common sense. It's hilarious. Playing like shit, sure....... This is on some JinxSpeed level type shit.

Lamarcus had 6 pts and about 2 boards in game one...he hasn't been allstar level since he left Portland and he doesn't look confident like he did in Portland....doesn't matter if you're a Blazer fan or not....check out the Spurs fansites...they hate him

Nope. You should read what I posted above. When McCaw doubled Aldridge, Green was pissed because there is no need to double Aldridge. The idea that they're swarming him or something is completely untrue--Green was playing him in single coverage and the Warriors were locking down everyone else. That's the problem for San Antonio right now--without Leonard, they have no one who can reliably get a bucket or even draw help defense. Aldridge is supposed to be that guy--he simply isn't.

Also, I should note that I don't hate Aldridge. I liked him when he was here and I thought it was entirely his right to depart in free agency. I just think he's declining into a meh player.

Oh well if the FANS hate somebody......... I can barely read what OUR fans post let alone another teams. What if they have like 10 Jinxspeeds over there? His numbers have gone down because of the system and the way Pop uses him, not that he has lost anything. You understand that?

Not even. If LMA were to somehow magically be a Blazer again he would hate it. This is Dame's team. The organization would not cater to him like they have in the past. He would be at most the 4th most popular Blazer. He would pout. I've heard first hand from people you know how the franchise kissed LMA's ass. LMA would be miserable here and that would have a huge effect on his play.

Please, that trade is so uneven. There would have to be at least 2 more draft picks thrown in. Unprotected too.


Think San Antonio would throw in their 1sts for 18 and 20?
 
You guys see that golfer that tapped an Alligator to make it go back in the water a few weeks ago? Then a day or two later another golfer saw one and jumped like a scared cat.

LA is the second guy, Nurk would probably be the first guy. Our scouting needs to find a way to identify that.

I'll never trust LA in the clutch just like I wouldn't trust Uncle Cliffy. Mentality is a huge part of the game.

LA complained about being tired after a game. Nurk handed his teeth to the trainer to be re-implanted that night, then played the rest of the game.

I don't care how he's used, he's not as good in San Antonio...I've seen him for two years play there...it's just not a good fit. Don't have to be a hater to see it...Jeff Van Gundy and Mark Jackson talked about it as have other commentators...he looks a step slow on every play and can't pass out of double teams...you've seen him enough to make a comparison on basketball alone....nothin' to do with fan hate
 
I would rather have the other former Blazer pf right now, even if I was San Antonio
