That matches up with what I briefly mentioned in the podcast a couple of days ago. Still trying to find out a little more and will try to get something up on Sunday or Monday.

I see Monk as a rich man's Barton or a poor man's Crawford and both options aren't that appealing to move up to 7 to get him.

Now I am not an analytics guy. All those stats and percentages might as well be another language to me. I also can't watch as many games as some of you since I have other things to do in my life. I do enjoy reading everyone's thoughts and opinions on this thread though as I am learning a lot so thank you for that.

Here are who I would draft if we weren't able to get Butler(or George.)

    #15 Terrence Ferguson
    #20 Jordan Bell
    #26 Hartenstein or Bolden

In the second round I would go for Thornwell, Lessort or Mr. March. ( I am having a brain lock on his name)

That's who I like according to the eye test and what I was able to watch during the tournament.

    Please be gentle.

edit: I also wouldn't mind taking a flyer on Karnoski in the second round if he is even in the draft(I don't follow the news closely to know for sure.)

Just Binged 'Mr March', its Tyler Dorsey.

Ranking of the ten worst draft classes of all time.
It has 2013 ranked #1. I think that's dumb. Look:

    3. Wizards Otto Porter SF
    6. Pelicans Nerlens Noel C
    8. Pistons Kentavious Caldwell-Pope SG
    10. Trail Blazers C.J. McCollum PG
    12. Thunder Steven Adams C
    13. Mavericks Kelly Olynyk PF
    15. Bucks Giannis Antetokounmpo SF
    17. Hawks Dennis Schroeder PG
    21. Jazz Gorgui Dieng C
    22. Nets Mason Plumlee C
    24. Knicks Tim Hardaway Jr. SG
    26. Timberwolves Andre Roberson SF
    27. Nuggets Rudy Gobert C
    1. Cavaliers Allen Crabbe SG
    25. Grizzlies Joffrey Lauvergne PF

Okay, so a dearth of stars. But it's way better than the ones they've got ranked 2 and 3.

Monk is amazing, Collins and Isaac are nice, Markhannen is amazing. I like the big guy with the afro as well (Allen?), I think he's gonna be a nice player

I can't imagine we keep all 3 picks, but if we do, we have to come away with a rotation caliber back up center

I have always considered 2000 to be the worst draft

Yeah, I'm out on Jonah Bolden.

Watched a few more games of his today and I don't want to give that guy first round money. I also don't think he has starter potential, which makes passing on the talent pretty easy. Floats offensively and defensively and has shaky IQ/motor/mentality. Lacks physicality and I think his skill level offensively is overstated. Has some feel but is a settler with questionable shot IQ.

I think he tops out as a 4th big who can stretch and make a play, but I don't trust him to get there. And if he does, I see it happening after another trip overseas.

Coworkers of mine said KDs workout for us was like one they'd never seen. Didn't miss all day. Weight lifting/Strength was a red flag.

I asked Dame where he thought he was getting drafted and he said Sac. Said that was his best workout.
Said his agent requested to work out with Kendall Marshall and Rivers and they both declined. Wanted to prove himself against those guys.

I see 3 stars, with Porter, Schroeder, Noel, KCP, and Hard away as good starters who could become stars. That draft was actually pretty solid.

If most of his problems are mental, those can be fixed. Can't teach a big to shoot like that. Can't teach a big to be as agile as him. Physicality won't be an issue for him at PF after he adds some muscle.

apparently Bolden has one workout in front of NBA teams in L.A. this weekend:

"Before he can get the opportunity to hear his name called, though, Bolden will undertake his solitary workout for NBA teams in Los Angeles this weekend. Workouts can be an exhausting process, especially after a full season playing in Europe, and teams will ask about personality and other seemingly arbitrary things. In the end, it will come down to basketball."

Talks about playing with/behind Steph. Crazy that GS had just one pick behind us that year. Now they're a dynasty and we're on our second rebuild with Dame.

He seemed fine in the interviews I've seen. What makes you think this?

I agree with you here. I'm not sure how many people claiming to like him have actually watched any of his games.

He's better than what he showed at UCLA, but I don't think he ever makes being a quality NBA rotational player.
