At this point that's all we have.

Besides, they have so many similar players that you could trade half their team and have very little EFFECT (@THE HCP) on their rotations.

Because they don't have Ja? As it said? Also, they wouldn't have Brooks either, because he comes back to us.

The Warriors' announcers mentioned last night that Warriors went from a team with close to least passes per game (under Jackson) to team with most passes (Kerr), in one year. Interestingly enough, they said that Blazers have increased their passing by 20 per game this year over last.

passes/game is a raw stat. Too little context. I mean, what have the 20 extra passes yielded: an offense scoring 5 less points/100-possessions. Of course, scoring is down league-wide so that may not mean much. Portland was ranked 2nd in offense last season; 4th in offense right now. After 20 games last season, 11-9; this season, 10-10. Doesn't look like the extra passing is yielding better results

but then, Portland is now 29th in the NBA in defense, so maybe the number of passes made isn't the problem

There is passing, and then there is 'passing'. The Warriors tend to whip the ball around very quickly with passes of more length where the Blazers make much shorter passes or basically hand-offs that count as passes but are only going about 1'. One of those moves the defense and gets them to rotate much more than the other even if the 'amount' of passes were similar.

I think it's a positive change. Hopefully it means that as they get accustomed to doing things differently, they will become better at it.

Actually, for having one of it not the toughest schedules to start the season that isn't as bad as it could be

The schedule has been tough at times, but losing to the Kings twice and losing to Philly with no Embiid, Harris, Simmons and Green got hurt....is ridiculous. Also losing to Denver with almost all their main players except Jokic out was a bad loss as well. Losing to teams where Kennard and Kaminsky went for career highs isn't too encouraging either.

He’s talking about the level of competition. We still haven’t played OKC, NOP, Detroit, Orlando etc.

    Hello darkness, my old friend
Right now, the state of play seems like the Warriors and the Suns and that's it. The Nets don't look like a serious title contender at all and while the Bucks are an excellent team, they don't seem dominant. Maybe they'll round into that kind of form. But the Warriors and Suns seem like a tier apart.

Nets with very good record, but I agree they don't look like they going anywhere.
Not sure how their fanbase sees it. They got Durant and Harden. That alone should put them high in Chip odds, but they look like second round and gone.

    How’s this for sobering:

The Nets signed KD and Kyrie in 2019. It’s nearly 2022 and they’ve only won one playoff series.

They signed Harden in 21 and it's still 21.
