Yeah all it took is trading a better player than Olshey did during his 9 years here. Silly tweet.

Now that is something I didn't know. That could excite me a little.

I guess functionally it's just as good to get fleeced and then fleece someone else as it is to make a solid trade the first time. Unfortunately we haven't been able to justify the Clippers trade in the same way yet. But don't get me wrong, I'm good with Joe today... he made most of us happy... we'll see how we're feeling after tomorrow but I think he's going to give us a lot more hope than we've had in a while... probably since Neil let LaMarcus walk.

Yes? Normality when you trade better players away you get better players back.

So hypothetically, if we traded Norm and Covington for Bledsoe, Winslow and a first, would that have been ok?

The whole premise of this trade for Detroit is free up salary. This trade won’t look as bad if they get Ayton.

From my understanding we won’t know if we’ve made the trade at 7 till 1st round is over or almost over is that right?

Not really, no. If the first was in this draft I would have thought it was a little better than getting Keon but I'm not sold on Winslow just because he had a handful of good games with a bunch of guys no one had seen play together and scouted... I'm hoping Wislow can be a good 8th or 9th man, Bledsoe is either going to be salary filler in a trade or 4M in dead cap space and unless that was a high first rounder which it wouldn't have been, it just doesn't add up to the production that Norm and RoCo are capable of. Right now it looks like they'll be very useful as the first and second guys off the bench on a team that could realistically contend.

Officially, yes, but WOJ will report a trade almost immediately and then later in the round it gets announced by Silver.

I think it is something like the league won't announce it until after the 2nd pick (if there is one) is made. But Woj would have reported it long before that.

No, we won't finalize the Grant deal until the new league year. So just like we know the Grant deal is done we could know a deal is done with the 7th pick at any point between now and late tomorrow night. Hell, if it's like the Wiggins+ for Love deal it could be a couple months before it's a sure thing.

One of my pet peeves about todays game-when is the last time you saw a guy fight through a screen? It's pretty pathetic watching two defenders switch on a screen...before the fucking screen is even set!

Olshey doesn't get a pass for refusing to trade Aldridge.

That was the biggest fuck up ever.

Can't happen. Deals can't be agreed to on draft day and finalized later. Sorry. </Green font>

I really like the fact that the green font didn't post but it just has "</Green font>" at the end of it because it gave me a real WTF moment. A little more fun tonight because tonight has been fun and regardless of if the OG trade goes down or not, I'm glad it's not done yet because tomorrow still has a ton of intrigue. And hey on draft day anything is possible except for trading an impending free agent which has become abundantly clear to everyone here, even though most of us were crystal clear on that for a while now.

Can Stewart play the 4? He seems like a bad match with Ayton... I know he didn't take a big step up in his second year, but he's still only 21...
